Seems like a extremely difficult schedule, but I'm excited to go see the packers play.

This is what is wrong with the franchise. You shouldn't care who the Dolphins are playing, but be excited to go to ANY Dolphins game. The fanbase is surely and slowly turning into the Marlins fanbase - where you don't go to see the Marlins, but whoever they are playing.

I am now really believing in the theory Ross is trying to destroy the fanbase in order to move the team, to make it acceptable to the rest of the league. Everything points to that, or just extreme incompetence.

The Dolphins had the largest attendance increase at 12% over 2012 levels (though attendance hit its worst ever levels in 2011/2012), though the stadium was still just filled to 85% capacity which was 2nd or 3rd worst or so. Overall was above 9 other teams I think, but that includes the Bears since their stadium has a lower capacity even though they sold it out 100% every week.

I wonder if the crushed hopes of 2013 and the way in which it ended will ruin ticket sales again though, certainly possible. Except the Ravens, Packers and of course Pats & Jets are on the home schedule so those fans will fill a large number of seats. Certainly can't blame people for getting tired of the same-old, same-old.

Then he's a great actor because he sure seems excited when they win and disgusted after they lose. Probably incompetence kept us out of the playoffs his year.

Certainly a challenging schedule, but if we don't replace Sherman and get more talent on offense (replace Ireland as well)) then we are just going to spin our wheels in mediocrity.

Hard to know what teams next year will be like... but in regards to the Dolphins, I think our offense will have no where to go but up, all of the offensive weapons are signed through next year, so everyone will be back plus Gibson. Our offensive line can't get any worse, so whoever the GM is (probably Ireland) will focus on it and it'll HAVE to get better. We'll probably pick up another RB for the short yardage option as well. On top of all that there''ll be another full offseason for Tannehill and Wallace to work on getting down the long passes and maybe a brand new, more creative, offensive coordinator.
So there is reason to hope the offense will be a lot better than this year.

What I am worried about, though, is the defense... we have a few key FA's this offseason and are still stuck with the terrible LBs. I guess it'll all depend on how Ireland/Aponte handle the DTs' and Grimes' situation. We still have a few reasons to be optimistic about the defense: Jordan and the rookie CBs with a whole season under their belt and a full offseason to work on their flaws. I think if the defense can play at least as "well" as they played this season holding opponents to around 20 ppg, and the offense improving significantly to around 27 ppg (a full TD more per game), then we can surprise a lot of teams. A whole lot of "ifs" there, but it's nice to be optimistic once in a while.

Nice schedule. Could be tough or not so bad. Nice to have GB at home.

Maybe Denver will win the SB this year and Peyton will retire? Or, maybe he'll finally start to break down physically.

If he sticks with the status quo going into next season, he will certainly be doing the one thing that will ensure there will be less fans in the stadium next year.

As far as the schedule is concerned. Unless major upgrades are made on the roster before next year. I think 6-10 is about what the present roster would do against that schedule. Of course a new GM could be hired and he could actually select some quality players in the draft and in free agency and the Dolphins could end up with a winning record next year.

If Ireland stays, I see the sixth season in a row without a winning season for the Dolphins.

I think you got the wrong idea.. I do get excited every time I do go to watch a Dolphins game, but in this particular instance I'm excited to see the packers as well since i have a lot of family and friends who support the Packers. Although I won't be cheering for the packers that day I'm still excited to watch them.. That us hardly 'what is wrong with this fanbase'

I agree 100%, I go to see the Dolphins win, just enjoy watching them play certain teams and in my case next season as I live in MN I may have to go the MN game, I am hoping it is a Dec game so I can escape the cold!

I think a severe mentality shift needs to happen with the team in regards to the division. 4-2 in the division needs to be the goal. If you win 4 games in the division, the rest will fall into place. Stop blowing games against the bills and jets. This should be the #1 priority going into next season IMO.

I hope we open against one of them.

Schedule looks rather light, save for KC, Denver and Detroit. Everyone else we have the talent to beat and I don't save what anyone says about weeks 16 and 17....Buffalo and NYJ suck.
