Silver doesn't know **** all, no one does. The only guy who knows what's going to happen is Ross.

Ah yes, another year of you telling us how great your binky is, and that 8-8 means we are "close".

If everything stays the same it's likely we'll have another year of missing the playoffs to complain about.

I for one would be highly disappointed if Ireland stays a Dolphin.

Why he is a football GOD around these parts. He has at least 421 threads at all times and 3/4 of the posters attention while they cry and moan about how bad we suck.

Yet the reality is Jeff is a genius. In 2 short years Jeff Ireland gave Joe Philbin enough talent to beat teams like Cinncinati, San Diego, New England and Pittsburgh. But the coaching couldn't coach them and we lost to teams like Buffalo (2) , NYJ, and Tampa.

I think he knows talent when he sees it, but we need someone with experience building a super bowl team. IMHO that goes for Sherman, Philbin and our OL line coach Turner (who has only one year of NFL experience). Let them get their 'on the job training' somewhere else. If we want a super bowl we need super bowl quality people at the top brass. Of course that is just my opinion.

This really is it for us now, isn't it (presuming these reports are true).

We all mostly want some sort of change and we're likely not going to get it, so the best thing to do is now hope that something gets better this offseason. For one, that the OL finally gets taken care of and can at least be average next year. There are other things to that need improvement but this is step 1.

I've been PO'd for a week now just like everyone, and I came to the conclusion this morning to stop looking for blood and - instead - look forward to FA and the Draft and hope that this time we finally get it right. And then we improve upon the good we did this year (there was quite a bit!) and finally get pointed in the right direction for long-term success.

I could complain and moan for the next eight months but what good will it do. May as well hope for the best and get on board. It's not like I can stop being a fan, or stop going to games, or stop buying Sunday Ticket, etc. etc. - I just can't. Next best thing is to hope our embattled GM finally gets it right, and our coach takes the next step in his own career.

Actually, Jeff is very much below average with talent evaluation. He is a public embarrassment for the franchise. He is a jerk to the players and everyone in the organization. He is a jerk to the fans. He's more about self preservation than he is about having integrity with what he does. He's a liar. He is a piece of crap as a human being.

You deny Jeff Ireland has been elevated to almost GOD status by you guys? It's just about all you talk about. There was 6 or 8 threads on the first page last I looked

Over the top? So where am I wrong? Ask Sage Rosenfels about Jeff Ireland. Ask Ryan Clark about Jeff Ireland. Ask Channing Crowder about Jeff Ireland.

And yet none of what he says is false. I gave Ireland the benefit of the doubt post Parcells. All he has brought has been many misses in FA and a draft class that played the lowest amount of snaps by far of any team (including teams who had less picks). He is a public embarrassment to the point of it making national media with the whore comments, caught calling a fan an ******* etc.

This franchise will never EVER make the playoffs under Ireland. Nuff said.

What is funny is that the Ireland supporters want to blame Bill Parcells, but the best players on this team were brought to the team when Parcells was here or before Parcells: Randy Starks, Cameron Wake, Jared Odrick, Reshad Jones, Chris Clemons, Paul Soliai, Brian Hartline.....all but Soliai were brought to the team when Parcells was around, and Soliai was drafted by Randy Mueller, who is also a better GM than Jeff Ireland.

I don't even know what to think anymore. This organization has me spinning. I guess I'm going to stop worrying about things that are out of my control. The team on the field causes me fits, if I start getting amped about the front office I'll end up having a stroke. This is what this team has done to me.

Honestly look at our draft history...

    http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/mia/draft.htm

I see no difference in our drafts in the past 13 years, it's like Wannstedt/Rick is still the GM here. You can close your eyes, point at a random part of your screen and 9 times out of 10, your finger will land on a below average to no longer in this team/league player on any year. No superstar, very few playmakers.

These are just a few examples. Ask Ethan Skolnick on twitter sometime about this. He was the beat writer for the team back then. He can tell you that the quotes I mentioned above are pretty much the universal feelings from the players about Jeff Ireland in the locker room.

Needless to say, we know why the players association is investigating Jeff Ireland over the Jonathan Martin/Richie Incognito issue.

More stories like this will continue to come out about Jeff Ireland as players leave the game and no longer fear burning bridges. When Jeff Ireland is finally fired, the floodgates will open. And then we will all know what a terrible human being he is.

I am not an Ireland fan. His goofs are many with the franchise: Asking talent at the draft if it was true his mother was a hooker (remember that one?) He's a smug jerk to the media etc.. but then he turns around and brings us Cam Wake from the CFL. Its crazy, but I wish Ireland would go. We need a GM who has super bowl experience.

I don't know how accurate the reports of Ireland and Philbin not getting along are, but I'd believe it. They are complete opposite personalities. Philbin is nice and respectful and Ireland is a jerk.

    No wonder Armando loves him.

I agree. I am so frustrated with these idiots I don't know what to do anymore. Ross is a jerk. Remember his handling of Soprano/ Harbaugh situation? what a fiasco! This team is a mess from the top down. Ireland, Philbin, and Turner had no NFL experience in their positions before they came here. They were just in the right place at the right time. They were not qualified, and still aren't as far as I am concerned.

"48 GO -GO" is a high school snap count. Why do it six games in a row??

That entire last quoted part was by Matt fuggin' McChesney. Did you read the rest of that article? Nice attempt on a spin job on your part. No one anywhere wanted to shake that idiot's hand, not Ireland, not Parcells, not Josh McDaniels, and probably not many of his teammates either as he said he recalled "daily fistfights with teammates in NY and that he was so angry he tuned out barking coaches altogether".... and the article also said he "learned Football isn't personal; it's a business".

    Channing Crowder? child please.

...and the butt-hurt Rosenfels who was mad b/c Ireland put the team before Sage? Yup, good stuff here.

Clearly this isn't the issue you're trying to blow it up as or else no free agent would come here and guys like Cam Wake wouldn't extend contracts when he could've easily hit the open market and cashed in elsewhere. Hartline re-signed. Reshad Jones extended. Misi extended. Soliai & Starks were ready to re-sign. Clemons came back for another year. Bush would've returned. Grimes says he wants to return. Keller, Clabo, Wallace, Ellerbe, and Wheeler also chose Ireland's team. Let's see what Odrick, Pouncey, Tannehill, Clay, etc do too, eh. Who did we lose that we didn't want to let walk, an injury plagued Jake Long? ....and that's because he preferred Fisher and his offensive scheme rather than Philbin's ZBS.

Now, I'm not speaking up in support of Ireland with this, but that doesn't mean I have to be tolerant of agendas or distorted information.
