Ben McAdoo leaves the Dolphins facility, heads to the airport. Agrees to become NYG OC, per source. Alex Marvez first reported.

Now we can hope for shanahan or Kubiak

 

Yes. After two weeks of thinking, considering, pondering, firing; after interviewing all of the candidates on Philbin's short list, we have...ZERO candidates for the position. Hit 'reset" and let's make hay with guys no one else even wants.

 

While I do think the GM position is an attractive one, I do agree the OC position isn't.

This is why it was stupid not to fire Philbin. This is the Brian Daboll stupidity all over again.

If the HC is fired often the OC or DC gets their foot in the door as an interim, is that not attractive?

McAdoo wouldnt insult Philbin. Seriously...some people are in such a rush to be the one who said I told you so..and crap all over their supposed favorite team. Maybe Philbin really didnt want McAdoo maybe he gave him the interview to drive up his price. Maybe Philbin just did him a favor.

Someone please give me a compelling reason not to panic. Who could be promoted from within the staff? Ken O'Keefe or Zac Taylor? I'm panicking.

 

I'm excited. I didn't want either him or Lazor. I'll be excited if we get either Shanahan or Kubiak.

Reportedly, McAdoo called NYG to accept their offer from the airport after leaving Davie. Didn't even want to think about it on the plane.

 

That's a good point. I'm just very concerned that it means nobody wants to take the job here.

 

How do we know Philbin even offered the job. Maybe Philbin didn't offer, so Mcadoo jumped at the job that was offered; before it was gone.

damn, that would be a major disappointment in my eyes. Although on the bright side we would be able to clean house in about 2 seasons if that happens.
