What Lazor did when he was the OC at Virginia is different from the Chip Kelly WCO hybrid in Philly.

I think it's unlikely he came out of his time in Philly without being influenced. What Kelly does is far enough outside of NFL orthodoxy, so well packaged and put together with tendencies and counters that I think it's difficult not to take stuff away from it. How much is up in the air, I think. It's possible that Lazor might disagree in a lot of areas.

It's also possible that Philbin hired Lazor specifically to implement a version of that offense.

Chip Kelly himself couldn't make that happen.

Miller still has room to grow at least. Especially once the OL is sorted out that RB's aren't getting hit half the time 1-2 yards in the backfield. Our OL run blocking ratings are atrocious.

Great, so we hired another guy who was promoted to a position that has no experience in; just like Ireland, Turner, Philbin and a coupla others. I wanted them to at least try to get someone with super bowl experience but we didn't even try to interview Gary Kubiak. Is it any wonder our players don't respect their coaches? I am sorry but I don't like this at all, Lazor will be a disaster.

Why doesn't Ross continue his hiring folly and make Philbin Head Coach and GM. Philbin knows as much about being GM as Ireland did. Everybody else was a worthless promotion why stop now? This team will never be right while we have Ross as an absentee owner. We need to hire a GM and Ross is in China!?! Don't you think an owner would want to get a GM in place asap for the senior bowl?? The cluster f**k starts with Ross and his idiot decisions.

Lazor has been an offensive coordinator before, and even then, so what? He's highly regarded, wasn't hired because he knew someone on the staff, and literally every coach will be in that position at some time through necessity.
