My daughters discovered Full House on their own on Nick at Nite and love it. The other day my oldest [a sixth grader] asked me if I'd ever seen it and started telling me how great it was. I found out later several of her friends watch it too. Cheesy but I guess it stands the test of time.
Agreed. One of the best sitcoms of all time. I'm very similar to Doug and I consider him a hero of mine.
Finally (!!!) closed on my house outside Houston, and while at closing my realtor in Louisiana called and said I got an offer on my house there (which is good enough that I'm going to accept).
I just talked to one of my best friends who I haven't spoken to in like a month. He's now dating this girl and they're both really into eachother, which is great, because he's been looking for someone special for a long time now. He was in a pretty bad funk, so I'm really happy for him. However, of my 10 real close friends, every single one is in a relationship. One is married, a few are engaged, and the rest are in that lovey-dovey phase of their relationship. And here I am, spending my night looking up the best rated toothbrushes.
Chin up, Rock. Whiter teeth is a step in the right direction for finding that perfect man.... or was it anus. Bleach that too just in case.
Been there. My close circle of friends was me and 3 couples. Everywhere we went it was, "how many in your party?" and one of them would pipe up with "3 couples and Tony". One of the couple had their wedding in Cleveland (both form there) we all went up. Plane ride there 6 seats together and 1 by itself. We stayed at her dad's house, 3 bedrooms and 1 couch. We stayed at a hotel the night of the wedding, 3 rooms and I had to wait in the hall till everyone was done having sex, before I could crash on a hotel couch. We went to Cedar Point, I often had to wait for the next go around since 7 was an odd number. It was a lot like How I Met Your Mother, and I was Barney, except I wasn't rich or clocking major ***.....though my character was played by a gay guy.....
The one positive is that I like all of their significant others. There isn't one in the bunch I dislike, but still, there are times when I just have no interest in hanging out with them because I'm kind of out of place. They're also just not around that much anymore because they're doing couple things. It's funny, because normally my friend who just got into a relationship calls me every weekend to hang out, but didn't the last few weeks and I immediately thought "he must have found a girl." Soooo predictable. It's not really upsetting as much as it's just funny. I don't mind being single. I'm wise enough now to wait for the right opportunity.
At least you like their significant others... One of my good friends is dating a girl that I'd very much like to punch in the face.
One of my friends dated this girl a few years back who we all despised. She was so manipulative. He did EVERYTHING for her, including ordering for her when we went out to eat. Wound up getting into serious debt because he just bought her whatever she asked for. We tried to warn him, but of course, he was blinded by the love. She wound up cheating on him and after some time of stepping back and realizing what she was doing, he finally kicked her to the curb. We threw a party. Now he's engaged to a girl who is awesome. Loves football and is just really nice. And the ex? She's always stumbling around the local bars constantly drunk and hitting on random dudes and having one night stands. To her credit though, she did contact my buddy about 6 months ago and apologized for the way she treated him. I thought that was pretty valiant of her. Karma always wins in the end.
yeah that's the worst. You haven't lived until your best friend dates a chick you wanna push down a flight of stairs.... and then some. Brownie points for recognizing this scene.
I think the worst is having a wife (me)......who is cool as ****, and your friends like hanging with her....my best friend (my younger brother by 2 years)....is like her brother too.....awesome times, gone on vacation with us, etc. Now he is engaged......annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddd its gone. Shes cool and everything, I actually introduced them. But things have changed, and hes not around often eventhough he lives 3 miles away. Sucks. But tis life.
It is 16 here and snowing.....suck it up cupcake.... Call me crazy I would rather move in that than this....
I've done both. Moved from West Palm in August to NC.......blazing hot. And cold (December in NC)......moving in the heat ****ing sucks. Sweating over everything, ****s slippery, gross smelling.
BUT!!!! you can drink beer and jump in somebodys pool......in the cold you dont want to even talk to somebody...
