I'm not justifying sh-t. Why would I justify something that I don't have a problem with. I'm standing up for how ridiculous it is to pass judgement in a vacuum on a person b/c of something he says in the heat of the moment while emotions are running high. I find it abhorring to ignore everything else a person does in his life [what kind of man he is when the pads are off, what he does for his community, what kind of father/husband he is, what he does for the game and the respect he has for it] and instead judge him b/c of one heated post game moment and b/c he likes to jaw it up on the field. Yup, Sherman is such a douche that he had the care to write an article highlighting preseason injuries and the need for owners to compensate players for preseason games for this very reason. Here's an excerpt: http://mmqb.si.com/2013/08/27/richard-sherman-stevie-brown-injuries/
.... or this article paying homage to his top 5 Smartest QBs of 2013. Yup, what a stupid thug. follow the link to find out who his top 5 are, plus some honorable mentions. http://mmqb.si.com/2014/01/03/richard-sherman-smartest-nfl-quarterbacks/ link to Sherman's column: http://mmqb.si.com/author/shermmmqb/
BTW, I find it amusing what Sherman says about Drew Brees, notably the last sentence: Which poster was it who kept coming to the defense of Mike Sherman by stating how there aren't adjustments made during the game, that everything is pretty much scripted during the week, or something to that affect? KB was it? So much for that notion.
Damn...wish I wouldn't have called him a stupid thug. Oh wait....I didn't Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
No, you just went with making up a racially charged sexual story about somebody's sister. That makes you look much better, IMO.
And a quick P.S. I'm not going to judge your character from one quick off-the-cuff internet comment, because there's a lot more to all of us than that.
Gene Steratore shall burn in hell. Awarded yet another crucial fumble recovery to the WRONG team, YET AGAIN. And made up rules on the fly, even denying the ****ing challenge... **** that guy, seriously. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4
i told the friends i was watching the games with that the seattle/49ers game would be a cluster****, when they asked me why i would say that, i said gene steratore is officiating i still want to kick him in the balls for what he did to the dolphins against pittsburgh and i also think he was the official in last years cincy game where we were screwed on 3 fumbles.
K.. Dude is constantly starting shnit, and that's cool. But chill out with the "see he's a helluva citizen" nonsense.
Your 2 hours late to a party your were not invited too, welcome...but no need to try to chime in when you obviously don't have a clue. Yep. One SINGLE incident, that's it.
I didn't realize this was your private forum. My mistake. Upon further thought, I can see why the admins would give you a forum to run, because you represent yourself so well. Carry on.
I agree with you, but I wanted to point out that the challenge isn't allowed by rule. It's a stupid rule that needs to be changed, but it's there. Apparently, the league doesn't want to have to review every scrum for the ball. Sorry, I should have asked my Buckeye friend for permission to post first. I hope I don't get banned.
that's the point, have any pocket qb go against that secondary, in that venue, with that much intense noise and lack of communication, and see if they can get it done from the pocket..Im not buyin it.. In that kind of game, if you don't have eyes in the back and sides of your head, if you cannot slow the speed of the game down so you can function,if you cannot run to pick up first downs or reset your platform, you fail..That place with the #1 defense and that 12 th man is a recipe for qb disaster.. That's a qb skillset you evolve your offense around..
whoever is saying either qb 'sucks' doesn't have a clue. not only do they not suck they are great players still learning the position while doing everything in their power to keep their teams playing at championship level.
You came in the thread trying to play "Mr Classy" it backfired. No need for apologies, I know you didn't know any better....how could you? You couldn't possibly know that jokes about Todd's sister have been around since...well...he was Todd. So you look foolish trying to play batman and save the day when your the only person who thought maybe it wasn't a joke.
Don't run your trap about stuff you know nothing about. What charities have you started lately for underprivileged kids to ensure they have proper education supplies and materials? How many celebrity softball tournaments do you host to raise money for Home for Heroes- a charity that provides financial assistance to emergency services personnel across the country during times of great financial need? How many schools do you give inspirational speeches to? How many dinners do you buy for the homeless? how many impoverished families do you feed on Christmas and put presents under their tree? Yeah you're probably a real Mother Theresa compared to this.
I'm also not a millionare. But I normally drop my change at Mcdonalds in the children's hospital box, what do I win??
It's awful that the rulebook allows for so much arbitrary power to scumbags like Steratore. ****ty call was made in a pivotal spot? Too bad. If you want to call a fair game, make sure you get it right! It's a game of inches, damnit! Either black or white, none of this gray area ****, please.
Its a blizzard here in NY. 12"-18"is expected. I was listening to WFAN radio on the car ride and the assistant commissioner was on saying they would have moved up the Super Bowl if they knew a storm like this was going to hit on February 2nd. If something like this happened they'd move it to either the Friday or Saturday before and it is a contingency plan.
Too much a big deal being made of Sherman. Anyways, as far as that article he made about preseason, if the NFL wants to promote player safety so badly, they should expand the NFL season by having giving teams more Bye weeks. Let's say a bye week every 4 games. Cut out the preseason and just have more bye weeks, that way these players aren't playing and risking their lives for stupid practice games - and preseason can come out more vicious than regular season games because you're going up against players that are trying to win a starting job or a roster spot. Look at Mark Sanchez playing in the 4th quarter of a game and some 3rd stringer trying to win a spot knocks him out for the season. I think more bye weeks does more than removing the kicking game for player safety. They rest their bodies more, they're more ready, the content will be better on the field. But what ever, Goodell is the genius.
So much gold. The Stanford stuff is amazing. And jokes about Eli being a little kid will never not be funny.
