Most everyone knows Im one of the most homeristic fans here. Im willing to give the Phins the benefit if the doubt 9 times out of 10. When is it going end? Why does this franchise just keep embarrasing themselves over and over and over. At which point do we finally hit bottom and turn around. Im just ****ing speechless right now. If Tannehill becomes a complete bust and has a Mark Sanchez esque year. Then we will have hit rock bottom.
im pretty sure 1-15 was rock bottom. this isn't rock bottom or even really close for that matter. Our problem is that it's the offseason and that we can't just wait for sunday to roll around and win a football game to lift our spirits.
... only to lose the following sunday, making the lift in spirit from the previous sunday and subsequent drop all the more painful. Just thought I would accurately finish your statement.
I disagree. The NFL encourages parity. 1-15 gives you hope. You can rebuild with high draft picks. Look at the Chiefs this year. But mediocrity gets you nowhere. I'd rather go 0-16 here and there than finish 7-9,8-8,9-7 every year.
I think there are alot of things that can accurately portray what an organization looks like. When you go through what we did during the season..to the pursuing of Harbaugh..to all the other missteps a long the way...coupled with losing the last two games..at some point..you call a group for what it is. And we are just a really bad organization with Ross as an owner. You really cant argue any other way right now. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Snips, I'm with you. I think the lack of actual football magnifies everything that occurs or doesn't. There seems an urge to jump on everything and this become an impending disaster. A plague on our houses. Supporting a team isn't meant to be easy, nor is success guaranteed. Roll on the draft chat.
If Tannehill has a non progressing year as a QB??? Then we may aswell prepare for another 5 year stretch of win some-lose some more.
Well we make the Dallas Cowboys look like an organization that knows what it is doing. I'm not sure there is a sports organization that was once great that has fallen as far and as long as the Dolphins have. Usually those teams bounce back after a few years. The Dolphins are halfway to completing a 2nd straight decade of nothing but $hit. I mean could you imagine the Packers or Steelers going through such a long streak of crap? Or the Lakers? No organization in pro sports that was a model franchise for so many years has had such a fall from grace as the Dolphins have. I mean the Cowboys suck now, but they've had at least a few playoff appearances since winning their 90s Super Bowls, Super Bowls which of course gives them at least some leeway compared to the Dolphins' early 70s Super Bowls.
you just need to stay in the middle imo put the kool-aid down and take the tin foil hat off. Get mad when bad **** haps dont give them the well they know what they are doing crap line i always see thrown around here. Also be happy when we do good things.
You hit rock bottom when you are wishing you had not fired the GM who you had wanted fired for 2 years. #hireland
Its like raiiiinnn on your wedding day. Its a free ride when youve already paid. It some good advice that you just cant take..and who would have thought.....it figures... Yeh isnt it ironic. Dont you think? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
This only highlights that we're still getting blowback from firing Sparano but not Ireland. It's still IMO the biggest mistake Ross has made in his tenure. That led to so many things going wrong with this team afterward.
Are you ok with finishing around .500 every year and drafting mediocre players in the draft? Mediocrity leads to more mediocrity, its a Groundhog Day like circular spiral of chain reactions that go nowhere.
I'm not a micro management guy and only look at wins and losses. The Phins won 1 more game than they did last year, Tannehill improved and Ireland is gone. I don't get the gloom and doom.
At least when they were 1-15 they still had good ownership who knew how to hire new people. Miami no longer has that. As long as Ross is at the helm this team will be riddled with dysfunction.
I understand this stance but I don't agree with it. Being mediocre means we are one big splash away from being a playoff team. That splash could be one of many things. Ryan Tannehill taking another step forward could be that splash. Fixing the offensive line could be that splash. Bill Lazor could be that splash. Just gotta hope.
I could never root for another team but I'm becoming so apathetic about the dolphins. II'm starting to forget what I used to enjoy about watching dolphins football.I think that's rock bottom for me.
Sorry about your luck. The team won 8 games. If they protected the QB better it could have been a playoff bid and a loss to Denver. What's the big deal?
A lot of years of "almost" have destroyed my hope. Late season collapses aren't any better than 1 - 15
I didn't say how to hire the perfect person. But he knew how to hire. He didn't half *** it like Ross has.
