Breaking: New GM candidate to interview today: Nick Caserio Hallelujah...finally a legitimate candidate will interview with us RT @AdamSchefter: Dolphins on to new candidate for vacant GM job: Patriots director of pro personnel Nick Caserio, who is in Miami interviewing today.
Lol you beat me to the news...phew! I was beginning to lose faith. I have no faith that we'll get a chance to interview with any candidates better than Caserio so just hire him today and finally move on.
Caserio is legitas far as resume. I don't like NE drafts tho. I would not be happy with this hire. This hire is less about evaluations and more about decision making. I'm not convinced Caserio is a good decision maker.
I think New England's drafts the past few seasons have been fine. Maybe not as many rookies make the team but it's harder to crack a talented roster. They also find a lot of UDFA gems too.
Not even gonna get excited.....I refuse to get excited....I dont really even know much about him.....Ross will prolly **** it up....but Mr C really likes him... Ok..damnit. Ill get excited. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
His title was director of player personnel. From what I understand that encompasses both pro and college.

Albert Breer seems to think he's a great talent evaluator. Caserio appears to be well respected around the league as well Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Maybe the continued delay and indecisiveness was to see who was eliminated in the AFC and NFC champ games to perhaps interview peeps from their staff. If you were being sarcastic, I can see the humor in your comment.
Good profile of Caserio from last year: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...-undercover-architect-of-new-england-patriots
Why does it not surprise me that a certain portion of this fan base likes the guy voted "most likely to be a serial killer" by his office.
So did my ex-wife. so that balances it for me. Actually got married at John Carroll, attached to Don Shula athletic center.
We seem to be in the strange situation where the employer is hoping the candidate likes them and not the other way around....
Hire him. He certainly knows what a good organization looks like - top to bottom - having been with Belichick for so long. That alone is good enough for me. In some ways I feel like the GMs are interviewing our team, not the other way around, given that so many have turned us down. Hopefully Ross and Aponte will do well in the interview!!! Please, just give him a 5 year deal and tell him that after this season, he has full control over coaching hires and personnel. And, then just let him run with the team for 5 years and see what happens. He may have a rough draft or two but he'll learn from that.
Saboteur! J/K. Hey, sounds like the guy has a pretty good background. And, pretty sure Bill wouldn't have kept him around this long if he didn't have good football acumen. Heck, if he is a nerd on top of it all, he'll probably get along great with Philbin. Git 'er donnnne.
he'll scare the shyt out of agents with those eyes. just hire some one not within the phins' organization. that is all i ask.
