let's have some fun! I know we do a lot of speculation around here. the forum enjoys speculation. so in this spirit, I offer you a chance to speculate in a way that may provide an interesting perspective or insight into our current dilemma. what if Tannehill hadn't broke at the very end of the season from being sacked into oblivion? what if there were no Incognito-Gate or Jonathan Hissy-Fit? or simply, what if we had won convincingly the last two games of the regular season & moved on to the post season? what would our current situation be? could have been a very different different season & a very different 2014. what do you think?
Rex Ryan takes a stinky turd and the Dolphins gm search implodes. Chaos theory tells me there is a connection.....
what we lack is not talent or coaching, it is patience & consistency. we lack environment. I would have liked to have seen the Philbin crew get one more year to develop before they were thrown to the wolves. had the post-season been a reality for Miami, as in all possibility/probability it should have been, the team would be pursuing greater things in 2014 instead of another probable wasted year. if I'm right in my assertion, how does this impact our moving forward in 2014? are things as bad as they've been made out to be could there still be hope that Philbin? can he continue to build amongst the chaos & hostility. can anyone survive & thrive this beating? what does the future hold? is there a light at the end of the tunnel weaving its way into 2014? or have WE once again succeeded in screwing ourselves?
What if Charles Clay hadn't gotten that amazing first down against the Pats...game over Pats win? Wouldn't have gotten our hopes up in the first place only to have happen what we all really knew was coming...
What if the Hickey hire works? What if are scouts are actually good and Ireland was just not trusting them? Who will we give the credit? What if we had got to the playoffs but lost horribly in the first round? The truth is we are a fickle race we choose to see the negative first rather than believing that there is more. But we all do have a little belief in us. That is why care so much about it now because we want to believe, we want the impossible to happen. So what if this all works out? Will we still have our objections or would we praise them for doing what we didn't expect to but what we longed for?
Hickey the guy responsible for trading away Talib and Blount to NE for peanuts? Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4
had Tannehill not self-destructed from being sacked into oblivion, the subject would be entirely different today. is there nothing that can mitigate the ugliness of the post season & consequent resulting negativity & witch-hunt that currently suffocates the franchise? considering all things positive in 2013 can we reasonably expect improvement in 2013? is there another spin or perspective that can be taken away from this witch-hunt & self-flagellation?
How could he be the guy responsible when he didn't have final say on the roster? He may have agreed, but Dominik made those decisions.
What if releasing Ireland was the worse thing we did this past season? What if Aponte works her way into a more leading role?
Isn't this the same as the Ireland tuna thing. Please can our team get past this. Just point Aponte as the GM, President, Drafting Guru, Financial CEO already...why wait 2 years.
What if Tannehill had been a team player and said he's not healthy enough to play the Bills and the Jets at a the level needed to win?
Huh? Guess those loses have nothing to do with OL play and defense....if it wasn't for Tannehill we would be what? 2-14?
Meh, this team is better than what they were. Ross shouldn't be there. Phins are cursed as long as he is top dog, imo...Still fun to watch every now and then, but gotta say that I believe God hates Stephen Ross
Blount has hardly been stellar all year, just a couple of games or so. And Talib? Heck, he's been, well, um............nevermind.
