Anyone hear Bryans shoot interview talking about WWE politics, and how they don't see money in him. Sounded legit, but part of me believes he is staying in character of the "Authority keeping me down" line. It was worth the listen regardless, can't link at work. But I am sure it's easy to find.

Wrestling fans love returning superstars, especially if they haven't seen them in years. It doesn't matter if it's a big name like Batista or Brock Lesnar or if the WWE decided to bring back a lesser star powered guy like a Shelton Benjamin or Marty Jannetty for example. The trick is to keep the fans wanting to see them, which is why it's so special when Brock does come back because he doesn't get overexposed so when he is around it just feels special.

Oh I agree with that statement. Just look at The Rock, he brought in huge ratings too but once the WWE couldn't come up with anything interesting for him to do besides stalling until his matches with Cena ratings slowly went back to normal.

Let's not forget that Batista is very good friends with Triple H and has always been a McMahon pet project adding to the big ratings boost and he's going to get that rocket push regardless now. The WWE will absolutely point to the ratings as a reason why. Again the best news is that the ratings were the lowest at the end of RAW when you had Orton and Cena.

Stop fooling yourself. Batista is winning the Rumble and winning the WWE title at WM. It's a sure thing.

Haven't heard it but it's probably a work. I don't think Bryan is the type of guy to do that at this point in his career, it just wouldn't make sense.

    Batista is not The Rock.

No way they do a one week roll out into a rumble win and WM main event.

Why not? It happened before with Jericho 2 years ago, except he didn't win the Rumble, he finished 2nd.

Batista is best friends with Triple H and has been a Vince McMahon pet project and favorite since day 1. The RAW ratings were the highest they have been in years in the segment he was in only cements that. The plan since early fall has always been Batista vs. Orton for the title at WM.

Probably gunna see that match with Authority screwing Orton........turning him face. Although I like him as heel.

Whats gunna happen with Cena then at WM?

The only matches that are pretty much locks right now are Batista/Orton and Triple H/Punk. Everything else is up in the air. I still think we'll see Brock vs. Undertaker at WM but I don't think the WWE has any clue as to what to do with Cena and/or Bryan at this point.

I'm not convinced that Batista wins RR. I can see it as a red herring and him being eliminated by someone else that sets up a WM dance partner. He is probably a heavy favorite, but I just can't get on board. I tend to be more unbiased with the talent, but I honestly don't know what he contributes at this stage. Not unless he goes back to the heel character from right before he left.

That being said, I am not sure there is a compelling candidate other than Bryan winning RR. Even Punk seems like sort of a let down, to be honest. Sheamus coming back would generate a big pop, but I don't know that he can main event a WM or not. It would be great if they let someone random win it, just to mess with people, like they almost did with Santino a few years back. Just have someone like Cody Rhodes win, dumbfounding everyone. You could always work the title shot off of him, but it might help keep the Rumble somewhat of a mystery going forward.

Someone else to keep in mind for a surprise entrant (not winning) is Christian.

Please less of Sheamus, talk about a boring character that no one cares about. Plus the WWE has been there and done that with him.

I'd love to see John Morrison return as a surprise entrant but Christian is a good guess. Maybe Evan Bourne too since he recently got cleared. And of course you're going to see at least 1 or 2 legends so probably Jake Roberts and possibly Hacksaw Jim Duggan since he'll be doing the pregame show with HBK and Flair.

Yeah he hurt whatever and has been out for almost the whole year, or so. I guess you really missed him huh? Just shows you how much I care about him as I don't even know what's wrong with him and how long he's been out. Haha.

I've never been a Sheamus fan, from his work rate to character. He's basically the Irish version of The Miz where he's a good company guy, in that he doesn't get into trouble outside of the ring and is always up to do media events and smile and talk about how great the WWE is etc.

I didn't miss him at all, just noticed he wasnt working at all. His photo was used a lot around the Smackdown event I went to in Charlotte a few months back, and when I didnt even see him work a dark match I was wondering.

    Yeah, you're not alone.

But he's one of Triple H's good buddies, is tall and has muscles, so he'll continue to get big pushes and continue to fail because no one cares about him.

Also was watching highlights of the Armageddon 2002 I went to in Fort Lauderdale last night on youtube, and man what a cool card to see live. Show Vs Angel (lol A-Train ran in and smashed Angle, then Brock came out and F-5'ed Show).....then Brock chased Heyman to the back (glad to see soooo much has changed in 12 years lol)

Torri Wilson got stripped and made out with that one chick who was in the ring with Wilsons dad......omg I was 15.....so I think my boner just went down from that a couple years ago.

D'lo Brown vs Jeff Hardy in a dark match, Jericho and Christian were tag champs and lost in a tornado 3 way tag.

And of course 3 stages of hell match between HBK and HHH......Barbed wire on fire 2x4......cage match, tables, sledge hammers etc.......good stuff!

Nice. Never saw that PPV but my one of my goals with the WWE Network is to watch every single PPV I've never seen or only saw once up until probably WM20 or so, which is mostly the old In Your Houses and non big 4 PPVs.

Needs to happen more, keep it just like that..BnB is great! Love everything about it. My boy pointed out this after seeing him though, and he's right....Barrett needs a better finishing move.

Rumor right now is Daniel Bryan will face Sheamus at WM.

Another rumor going around is Bryan and Cena w/ Hogan in their corner vs. The Wyatts w/ Piper in their corner. Hogan recently took a physical with the WWE and didn't pass it so the WWE is refusing to let him wrestle.

There is also talk of The Ultimate Warrior wrestling and Ryback is being mentioned as a possible opponent.

Kind of crazy that the WWE can't think of a better match for either Bryan or Cena right now. Both matches feel like let downs, especially a Bryan/Sheamus match which would be their 3rd time doing it at a WM.

The rumor I lend more credence too..is that the Daniel Bryan/Wyatt feud will lead right into a match with Undertaker at WM..with Punk/HHH and Orton/Batista headlining. That would leave a Cena/Lesnar match...

Personally...I think a Orton/Punk match for the strap would be epic...so....having Punk win the Rumble from the #1 spot would be HUGE.....

that can leave all types of possibilities for big money matches vs. taker.....Lesnar, Batista, and even a Cena /Taker match would be WM worthy...

    Rumble day.

Take your pick! I still think Batista is the odds in favorite with Bryan being an outside dark horse.

As for surprise entrants, a few names to consider:

    Sheamus
    RVD
    Jericho
    Nash
    Christian
    Sting
    Bryan
    Jake Roberts
    DDP
    Undertaker

Nash, Jericho and Sheamus are all in the Pittsburgh area today.

Meltzer is reporting that Brock/Undertaker match at WM is pretty much set in stone at this point.

Batista is the heavy heavy favorite to win the Rumble tonight and has been for months now. Bryan might not even be in the Rumble match at all.

I would love to see Bryan win the Rumble and win the title at WM but Batista is Vince's guy and Triple H's buddy, wrestling politics are the worst.

There is also a rumor Sting has reached an agreement with the WWE. He will be inducted into the HOF in 2015 as the headliner and the WWE is going to promote his appearances to help draw interest with the WWE Network as he was one of the biggest faces of WCW.

If XPac/Nash are around tonight, my guess is they target Punk, much like the NAO did. Further evidence of HHH vs. Punk at WM.

Right, im just assuming Bryan is a surprise entrant and the top blows off the arena...I guess its not very realistic though. Given their history of not giving fans what they want..and pushing their story...Side note...has anyone heard anything about Hulk returning, more specifically when?

I just read those results and couldn't believe it. I guess this is leading to a Dustin vs. Cody WM match finally.

Bryan/Wyatt match should be interesting, the end result should foreshadow if Bryan is in the Rumble match or not.

We'll the ending to the Bryan/Wyatt match either sets up an explanation as to why Bryan isn't in the Rumble match or it could be a Bret Hart 1994 Rumble moment.

Certainly sets up Cena vs. Wyatt at WM.

Pretty funny the crowd crapped on that match, I'm sure Vince and Co. Can't understand how that can happen to "their" two biggest stars.

Not watching as I have a sick kid on my hands, but it sounds like that Wyatt-Bryan match was some sort of crazy good. It also looks like Wyatt-Cena for WM is happening.
