You're speculating that Ireland wanted him, and that Philbin and Coyle don't, so Hickey may move him? I see the logic, but I really hope that isn't the case. Jordan has a lot of talent. The coaches just chose not to use him. Thats on them.

If Hickey does that, I will end my wait and see attitude towards him. It would show what an idiot he is.

Remember though Eagles being interested doesn't mean we are.

I'd vomit in disgust, once for actually trading away one of the most talented defensive prospect of the 2013 draft for a late 1st rounder, and once more for Koyle & Philbin signing off on it b/c they have no goddam clue how to use him nor seem to care to.

It won't happen in a million years because of the 16 million in dead money tied to him. But hypothetically speaking let's assume all these players play for free, I would be tempted to trade him, you have to wonder if his shoulder will always be an issue. This coming draft has so much talent that a late first round pick would be huge for us.

I didn't like moving up in the draft for an injured player but if Chip Kelly wants Jordan then I do too.

Again moot because of the dead money, but he played very few plays in college...sparingly his rookie year. Something is just off with the guy.

Animal when he plays, one of the more confusing situations I've seen.

interesting that one of the GM candidates answered "I would move on from the player and select someone else." when asked what would you do if you and Philbin did not agree on a player… his reasoning was that Philbin was not going to play a player he didnt like.

makes sense now… with Jordan and the rest of the rookie class….

Looks like Ireland and Philbin were not seeing eye to eye on the players Ireland was getting and Philbins solution is to not play them… "reminds me of money ball"

    *********
If the Fins trade Jordan they better get more then a late first round pick for him…
Not that I think they should trade him

If he doesn't get his crap together in the offseason, it may come to that. Hate to see it happen though. Think he has all the talent in the world to play, just has to put it together and work for it, and have a staff that believes in him and puts him in the position to succeed.

I'll play devil's advocate here. (for the record i don't believe the eagles would do it)

We didn't need Dion to get to 8-8 last season. Assuming Wake's got a few more great-good years in him, we don't entirely "need" dion at all with how vernon played. Our pick plus the eagles pick could miraculously improve our oline. What would our season have been like if tannehill only got sacked, lets say 40 times instead of 58...40 is still a bad line but its amaxing how much worse we were then bad.

If we trade Jordan to the Eagles the only way I'd approve would be if it were straight up for Lane Johnson.

No he doesn't. Hickey has final say on the roster, free agency and the draft the last I read from Mando quoting a team source earlier this afternoon. Also, Aponte will report to him, and he and Philbin report to Ross.

That would be better, but even just for Johnson would seem like fair value. He has LT ability but won't play there for a few years at least with Peters ahead of him and being one of the top 2-3 LTs in the league.

What I'd like to know is how many rejections it took, how many better qualified GM candidates we lost out on, for Ross to finally come around and make a greater effort to appease the GM targets? I'm guessing it started with Hickey. LOL. Wonder who we'd have if Ross bucked up and didn't f*** around from the get go.

As others have said, if there were additional picks I would definitely consider it. But for just their first rounder this year, no way.

There we're leaks about Martin, Incognito and Albert. There was a public disagreement on Clyde Gates, he used Jordan pretty sparingly, the other draftees even less. I'm sure you didn't miss all of that.

Even if you did miss it, Ireland is gone and most of the people we talked to about replacing him weren't interested. It's not concrete proof but you don't have a problem using rumor or innuendo when it suits your POV...

There better be a heck of a lot more involved than their first this year. We traded up to get him and used a top 3 pick, one year later he's worth a late first round pick? This is the kind of move we got rid of Ireland for lol. I mean I know this is merely speculation but good God if we did this I'd be pissed.

The Gates thing was on Hard Knocks. The only reason it was public. How much Jordan played is a different thing than Philbin complaining through the media about the job Ireland was doing. The leaks about the 3 OL mentioned all seemed to surface long after the facts that made them worth mentioning and there is no proof where they came from. You may choose to believe Philbin was behind the leaks. That is your prerogative, but it does not make it fact.

I used a rumor when it suited my POV? What was that?

The little that Jordan played, he won a game or two for us with the few plays he was inserted. That's why Profootballfocus has him rated so high. I don't see anyone coming out of the draft at DE this year near his talent.

I thought jordan showed a ton of promise last year. I, like many other posters were wondering why he wasn't seeing the snaps we thought he should. It was said because he didn't play the run well. I don't know how jordan rated against the run, but he looked like he held his own pretty well.

Could his lack of playing time been philbin's way of protesting Ireland's roster management?

I would really hate it if we trade Jordan, unless we get a huge haul in return.

I fail to see why people think this could actually happen.

We wouldn't get proper compensation and the dead money would be insane if we traded him.

It's simply a pipe dream for Philadelphia fans, IMO.

Someone said something and it shows negatively on the Dolphins, therefore its true without question and if you don't believe it you're a homer and tno one will refute any facts you put out they'll just tell you you're wrong. The inmates are now running the asylum.

Not really accurate. I agree the media is stupid as ****. I agree that not everything they say is true. I've been on that bandwagon since the season started with their hyperbole and stupidity. But it's time to admit the media has been far more correct in establishing an accurate narrative of the GM situation. With Ross as the owner, the special-ed kids are teaching the class. Not going to blame the media for his continued follies.
