And that 2nd round tender was appropriate. I don't remember much in the way of complaints when he was tagged, or even when he went to New England. A second round pick was good compensation for what Welker had done and what could be reasonably expected from him. If anything, there was a bit of a "what the ****" element to it.

The Patriots deserve credit for making the move, but treating it as something that was so blindingly obvious at the time is asinine.

This is bizarro..how many times do I have to say this, you act like folks cannot project a football players career sometimes accurately based on a large sample of work at the pro level.

I didn't like him, I loved the player, and clearly sated, while the trade was being talked about, and right after, that it would be a huge mistake along with many more adjectives..the arguments I had back then were just as frustrating as this one..

Please don't call me a liar for getting it right.

sure, but I would think that a pro staff would be part of that.

If hes healthy..and it was a fair value contract, of course I would. Guy is a ball gamer. He is footballs version of Lenny Dykstra. Wes would be great for our team, IMO...

I think we should take welker back, he could help us burn those cheatriots and I'd like to see Brady cry twice a year watching his old favorite target on the Dolphins again.

    the poor house

that is the best post man I gotta agree with you and that is why we cant get to the playoffs. many people here cant see it but when we let Welker go we brought in a loser like Bess and Hagan then we let some of defensive guys Like Marion, Surtain and Madson go but we keep twinkle toes Taylor and and then Zach got another concussion so there opens up another hole and we replaced those guys with below average players.

I could have taken the team to a super bowl with Welker , Chambers and whoever else was our wrs all we had to do was get a qb because we had Ricky and Ronnie .

The really well run teams don't let good young players leave, when you look back on it we could have signed Welker longterm for a fairly cheap price. Even if he wasn't catching passes at a record pace or making probowls he still could have been a really nice piece to the offense and moved the chains for us. We had a terrible front office for literally like a decade, hopefully we can improve.

As long as he is healthy he would be an asset .Speed was never in his repertoire but he is quick and versatile .He runs clean routes and the QBs know where to find him so he would make a great possesion WR even in the twilight of his career.

No. Heck no. No fart knocking way.

Little Wesley Wanker will always be sitting on sidelines looking across the field wondering what it would be like to play for a champion. I hope he goes to an NFC team so the team hes looking at is the Dolphins as he loses another super bowl.
