All the negativity most of us have been dealing with frankly since Week 16, I thought maybe we could try to get away from Tanny, GMs, Ross, Philbin, Jordan etc. I must admit when I took a step back and asked myself this, it was a feel good moment. So....what was YOUR favorite Miami Dolphins play of 2013?? For me it was close but that Cam Wake Safety in OT on TNF vs Cinncy was amazing. Barely edging out Michael Thomas interception of a Brady in the end zone. Wow that felt good.
I'll go: 1) Wake's walk-off safety against the Bengals. 2) Tannehill to Dion Sims TD against Atlanta to finish off that drive. 3) Michael Thomas game-winning interception. 4) Charles Clay's catch and TD runs against San Diego and Pittsburgh. 5) Not an individual play, but the whole series in the final stop against the Colts (I was at that game). 6) Brent Grimes pick-6 against the Bengals. 7) Brandon Gibson helicopter TD against Buffalo. 8) Olivier Vernon manhandling D.J. Fluker for a sack against San Diego. That's my "Elite 8".
The INT in the End Zone of Brady's pass to end the Pats game. IMO that was the pinnacle moment of the season. Probably the highest feeling I've had about Miami since they beat the Jets in NY with Pennington. But, maybe even a better feeling.
I pretty much agree with Ronin's list. A few I'll add: Tannehill's 4th down scramble and bomb to Gibson against Baltimore. Reshad Jones pick-6 against Baltimore to tie the game. The big catch and run by Clay in Indy. I still don't know how Tannehill squeezed that ball into that spot.
I was watching the TNF game with a couple of buddies who are die hard Bungle fans...so it was a great great ending.
I was pretty merciless the next day at work. Our boss gave us a casual Friday and I think I took it a bit extreme wearing a long-sleeve Dolphins shirt into the office. Edit: Here's a cool video shot from the endzone so it's like Wake's coming at you. Snap starts at :14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CV13wF5iq0
The Thomas interception of Brady to win the game versus the Patriots has to be mine. It was my birthday and was watching the game with a bunch of friends who are Patriots fans. That day couldn't have been any better.
Was drunk off my *** in New Orleans watching the Thursday night game dressed up in a 1960s Batman costume. When Cam sacked Dalton in the end zone I Krackened the 7 or so sets of beads I was wearing right off my neck. They went everywhere. It's worth noting 2013 had some good moments despite the horribly depressing end result. For me most of the positive thoughts about this Dolphins team going forward begin and end with Ryan Tannehill.
Let's see if we can't destroy this thread. When Ross broke through the sea of compromising pics of him and a goat to deliver a pink slip to Jeff Ireland.
Positives: -Our game vs. Atlanta. -Cameron Wake's Halloween Bash. -Perfect season is intact. -NE didn't go to the SB. -Tannehill's run vs. Pitt. -Grimesy. -Ireland and Sherman shipped out. -New uniform design grew on all of us.
Emotionally it was the Thomas interception no doubt. At that point I felt very good about our chances to make the playoffs and about Tannehill's development. The coolest play to me was Clay's TD against the Steelers.
Not a play exactly, but I thought Daniel Thomas showed a lot of heart in that Steelers game playing on that injured ankle and rushing for over 100 yards and a TD. That was quite special.
UMMM not so much. these new uniforms make me vomit. I am praying the team gets smart and pulls a Balt. Orioles move and goes back to it roots with the logo. Now the rest of your list is spot on
Halloween game Michael Thomas making Brady his B**** Ireland hitting the bricks Joining the "YES" movement
Yeah, and Thomas' pass deflection earlier in that game was just as if not sweater than the interception.
