The Wyatt Sister Abigail that he did on Mysterio was pretty cool. Orton does a new move off of the top rope because the crowd is chanting Boring and then starts talking to the crowd. They are trying the old Method of the Wyatt's and Shield not touching each other now but they already Have. everything else on the show was very average and please put the beatdown on Swagger and get it over with.

I really dislike Orton as a wrestler because I think he's boring, isn't a great worker or talker but after he did the top rope DDT and then yelled at the crowd that he just did a new move was pretty good.

Also does anyone remember the last time Dolph Ziggler won a match? The WWE might as well just change his name to Dolph Ryder or even put him in a tag team with Zack Ryder at this point. Actually, a tag team of those two guys would probably get over pretty quickly and it might actually work out.

The WWE has a lot of talented younger guys. Their problem is getting them to that next level before they cut their legs out and keep giving the spotlight to the same guys over and over like Cena/Orton or to returning older guys.

It's funny because they're doing everything right with Roman Reigns and his slow build and have also done a nice job building The Shield and The Wyatts but then they completely drop the ball on others. So they do know how to build up guys, it's just a matter of them fully committing to it before Vince gets bored and changes his mind.

I Wish that Triple H was my Friend so I could get a Run in the WWE since all his Friends are right now. I wonder what kind of reception Hogan gets when he walks thru the Curtain on 2/24 will the place go crazy or will there be Boos or just be Lukewarm to Him.

Like with every returning legend, he'll get a huge ovation and each time we see him it will get less and less and less. But I'd be shocked if the crowd booed or was just lukewarm to him, it is Hogan after all and he hasn't been seen on WWE in years.

Not sure if anyone heard Jericho's 2 part Podcast with Chavo Guerrero but it's a MUST listen and just fantastic, especially the stuff about Eddie's and Benoit's deaths.

Also Jim Ross is starting up a Podcast and the first one comes out on 2/19 with guest Stone Cold Steve Austin.

    This. A million times this.

Seriously, I just don't know why the writers think that start & stop pushes are the way to go.

    A couple of things:

Randy Orton is probably a sub-par human being, but he is absolutely a GOOD to GREAT worker in the ring. Yes, he is awful in promos and his offense is somewhat plodding and slow (as are most St. Louis styled offense in wrestling), but from a technical standpoint, the guy is pretty damned good. His match with Cena this week and Bryan last week, were fantastic displays of what he can do.

As others have stated, Batista worked a dark match, hence why he was in his wrestling gear. However, it wouldn't surprise me if the WWE asked him to NOT go out there in skinny jeans, and douche t-shirts like he has been. Honestly, the guy is getting shelled by the crowd and his appearance as a Jersey Shore reject hasn't been helping. I think the WWE has even taken notice with this and may be working a heel turn/tweener role for Dave, with the backstage skit with HHH afterwards.

Cesaro is a budding star. I know I am the only one who likes Swagger, and he will most likely be gone from TV after Antonio busts away, but Cesaro is destined for a long stretch run towards the top of the card once he is by his lonesome.

The Shield vs. Wyatts build up has been spectacular. Say what you will about Vince/HHH, but they have done a fantastic job with The Shield. I can only think of one time where they started to get stale and that ended quickly. Same for The Wyatts, although on a truncated timeline.

I loved the concept of the running Sister Abigail, hated the execution. Misterio sold it terribly when he sort of just kept rolling instead of absorbing the impact like he was supposed to. That's on Rey more than Bray, although Bray's momentum and strength may have contributed.

I have officially turned the corner on Christian and Dolph Ziggler. They are nothing more than a name and enhancement talent. A Miz/Ziggler team would actually be an improvement.

It's not all on the writers, a lot of it if not all of it is Vince getting bored or going in a completely different direction because Wrestler A's RAW segment didn't automatically score a huge rating or he didn't sell X amount of merchandise. The thing that drives me crazy is when the fans get behind a certain wrestler like a Zack Ryder for example and because he's not in the WWE's plans to get over they go out of their way to bury the guy so fans stop caring while trying to shove whatever project they want instead. I sometimes just wish they would listen to the fans because we are the ones paying for the product.

I don't even know what to tell you. They turned Ryback from a wrestling monster with an extremely popular catchphrase to a whiny attention-whore, to just a tag team guy. Kofi, once again, gets a push yanked from him for no reason. Wade Barrett's irrelevant now. Christian and Ziggler are, as Samphin said, is merely brand-name talent enhancement.....

Honestly, I'm afraid that, some way, some how, Reigns is going to get screwed.

Nah there's no way Reigns is going to get screwed. Vince LOVES him. If Reigns doesn't turn into the next big thing something has gone terribly wrong.

I was never a big Ryback guy, he had the look but was a typical meathead with no real ring skills. Kofi has the talent but Orton derailed his push and he was never able to recover. I think he's fine in the role he's in now where he puts on a solid match and pops the crowd a few times in his matches but I never saw him as anything more than mid carder. Ditto for Christian.

I am surprised about both Ziggler and Barrett, especially Barrett as he was being groomed for the "Sheamus role" but I think his lack of charsma and creative having nothing for him after the Nextus angle hurt him. Ziggler, they waited too long to pull the trigger on him and once they did he got hurt and seems to be in the dog house ever since and the WWE moved on from him.

  14. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

I'm okay with Ziggler being where he is. I mean, honestly, how many guys can you have on top? CM Punk, before he took a powder, was a top guy, Daniel Bryan is a top guy, and of course, you have long timers like Cena and Orton who are the actual faces of the company.

Throw in novelty guys like Show, HHH, Undertaker, Batista, Kane, RVD, and a few others, and there aren't really too many spots for new guys to constantly be elevated to. Granted, I am tired of most of the names listed above , but the fact remains that Most of them move merchandise, sell tickets and pop crowds.

Ziggler, for however talented he is in the ring, doesn't particularly excel on the mic, and can't seem to keep himself healthy long enough to sustain a push. He probably is not to be trusted for a long run at the top. Cesaro is still relatively new to the WWE and just recently started to find an audience with his bit swing and feats of strength.

Kofi, a lot like Ziggler, is hyper athletic and can pop a crowd, but has had horrible timing at screwing up or getting injured right as the machine is getting behind him. He and Ziggler are like the new versions of Shelton Benjamin.

Having said that, Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns are guys that have a solid foundation underneath them with their characters. Both now have signature spots and easily identifiable looks. I worry about Reigns as a singles star because, quite frankly, he wasn't that great as a singles wrestler a few years back and he has been severely protected with Ambrose and Rollins. But he will get a shot or two to run with the ball.

I also think Ambrose will break out once given a shot to speak on a weekly basis in a Pillman/Foley type role.

And Ryback got demoted because he isn't very good at his job.

Antonio Cesario is no more, the WWE dropped the Antonio from his name and he is now just known as Cesario.

Spoiler alert about Smackdown coming so if you don't want to know stop reading.

He beat Orton at the Smackdown tapings so I think it's pretty obvious Orton is winning the EC so if you're willing to spend 60 plus bucks on watching that PPV just have that in the back of your mind going into it so you won't be disappointed if Bryan doesn't win the gold. But hey good for Cesario getting the W.

    Some early morning WWE news:

The WWE is considering starting up their own Podcast.

The Over The Edge 1999 PPV will be edited to remove any mention of Owen Hart and what happened out of the broadcast. It's absolutely the right move and think it was obvious.

It appears the WWE has changed Big E Langston's name to simply Big E.

The WWE is also considering having a MiTB match at WM.

A MitB match at WM solves a LOT of issues regarding talent being on the show. Spot monkeys like Ziggler, RVD, and Kofi can get on the card. Also rams like Christian, Sandow and Swagger as well. Perhaps even Miz and/or some big guys like Big E, the other guys from Wyatt Family or that newcomer guy.

And of course, they could use it to break out Cesaro, Reigns or someone else.

    I like the idea.

There is talk about turning Cesario face due to the cheers he gets doing his big swing and that the WWE is very high on him.

My concern is that Reigns will also being turned face soon too and that really leaves the heel side of things extremely thin, unless they turn someone like Batista heel. Even so the top faces would be Cena, Batista, Bryan, Sheamus, The Rhodes Brothers, Cesario, Reigns and you could throw Big Show in there because he's due for another run while on the heel side of things you have Orton, Brock, Kane, Del Rio, Wyatts, rest of Shield then who? Even if they turn Batista the heel to face ratio is still high. Personally I'd leave Cesario as a heel and have him in a feud with Bryan for the WWE title for the spring after the Extreme Rules PPV.

Also looks like Rey Mysterio got hurt yet again at the Smackdown tapings. I love Rey but it might be time for him to hang it up as there's no way he'll ever get a big run due to his age/injuries.

I like having a big gimmick match for WM too whether it be a boring Battle Royal or MiTB. My only problem is that if they have a MiTB match at WM it will kind of make the MiTB PPV seem not as special. Perhaps maybe they can come up with another idea or something similar to the WM2000 Hardcore match.

But yeah if they have a MiTB match at WM and anyone other than Cesario, Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Ambrose or Rollins wins it they're doing it wrong.

Read this on a wrestling site so I can't take credit for it but how/why in the world hasn't the WWE put out form "YES" fingers for fans to buy? they would make a ton of money and it would make for a great visual on TV.

Word is going around that WWE gave CM Punk his official release on Friday after he told the company he was "done".

EDIT: The WWE released a statement that CM Punk has not been released but didn't say anything else on the matter.

As of last night the WM plan is still for Undertaker to face Brock. Undertaker is going to return next week.

Also Cesario got a standing ovation last night from the locker room after his match with Cena.

I'm pretty excited about the WWE's future with guys like Bryan, Cesario, Reigns, Ambrose, Wyatt etc. For the first time in a long long long time they have young talent that has the FO's backing that might actually break through. Of course with that being said all it takes is for Vince to change his mind or one of Triple H's buddies to come back and we're back to the drawing board.

I watched RAW again last night with my son, since its on too late on Mondays. So we watch the recording together before his bedtime Tuesday. I didnt originally catch the mainevent as I turned it off during the Gunn and Uso match monday....

After watching last night I must say the Shameus/Orton match was a disapointment. Orton is usually damn good in the ring. It just seemed boring to me. I was talking to my wife and step daughter and all I could think was no one CARES Orton is champion. I like his character when hes "broken vessel heel".....but hes just slow, and not a champion to get behind....to hate or like......hes just "meh".

Glad hes losing it Sunday. To whom is the question. I am worried about a Shameus "Authority" turn.....would like to see Orton and Cena pinned early on and leave it up in the air between Bryan/Shameus/Cesaro/Christian.....would be fun.

All in all, the card for the EC is friggin stacked. IC title match, Tag title match, HWC match in a chamber. A good feud between O'neal and Young. An incredible 6 man tag between Sheild and Wyatts which has been built up beautifully. Sadly the worst match on the card is the Wrestlemania headliner......thats sad. Other than that, things are really nice right now.

    Who needs Punk?!!??!? haha

And one more thing....I know hes on a limited contract, but where the Eff is Brock? He destroys Show......he challenges Orton and/or Batista.....then.....nothing? I know hes probably facing Taker but come on.....have him a part of the show leading up to next weeks raw so its not predicitable. But what can you do....win some and lose some.

Orton is walking out of the EC with the title. It's going to be Orton/Batista or Orton/Batista/Bryan at WM for the title. And yes he is boring and no one cares that he's the champion. I don't get why people think he's a good worker either. He has a limited move set and has he ever carried a match against someone that's worse than he is? The good matches he has are always against guys much better than him, which is why the Orton/Sheamus match was a bore. Maybe it's just me but I never thought he was anything special in the ring. But hey I give him credit no one uses the chin lock better or as often.

The only guy that could walk out of the PPV with the title other than Orton is Bryan but I think Kane is going to cost him the match (which is starting to worry me about a Kane/Bryan WM match which would be all kinds of awful).

As for Brock, he's not around because he has the limited contract. The WWE can't have him around when he's not booked for a program or it will waste up all of his contract dates. Plus what's the point in having him around if they're not going to do anything with him? Brock will be back this Monday on RAW though.

You are unfair to Randy Orton. The Guy is a great worker when interested. The "Smarks" have started this narrative that he sucks and it has stuck...just like the Cena haters.

I can't stand John Cena, and I hate it when he wins a title, or takes a title match from somebody that I wanted to get one...BUT..He is one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time and a without a doubt, first ballot, unanimous hall of famer.

and another thing..you *******s that want to shout down a show, and place your "cute" little chants to disrupt the show and ruin my viewing experience can go **** themselves.

Finally, WWE is treating these people right. Shout them down. Drown them out.

I mean..you KNOW CM Punk is not coming on the show....why start a CM Punk chant? Trust me..Vince knows WTF he is doing.

Cena worked a hell of a match with Cesaro also. Orton has some nice moves (snap suplex, middle rope DDT and rko)....I like watching him perform, but his character right now seems like between a ***** and a psycho. Not working.

Stone Cold on Jim Ross' podcast said he is predicting Punk to return to Mania in some form.

I think you're using the term "great" too freely. Shawn Michaels was a great worker, ditto for guys like Flair, Steamboat, Savage, Hart, Angle, Guerrero, etc. I don't think Orton is even close to being in that class. Perhaps I'm being unfair to Orton, but I do think he's simply an average worker to perhaps good depending on the opponent. He's not terrible like a Great Khali but he's in no way "great". He's kind of just there for me. Plus he gets rattled way too easily and distracted during matches whether it's due to a crowd reaction or a wrestler blowing a sport. Like I said in the previous post he has no mike skills, a limited move set and can't carry a match on his own. Just my opinion of course.

I know it's fun for people to crap on Cena and I do it myself but I've always said the guy delivers whenever you need a big match from him. I don't think Cena is a great "wrestler" either (good proof is just look at the way he does the STF) but he's certainly a great entertainer in the same way guys like Hogan was.

I think anyone saying Cena won't go down as an all-time great or HOFer is crazy. But again I don't think Cena's name will ever be mentioned as being a great wrestler but that doesn't mean it's a knock on him. Hogan is looked at as one of the best ever and his wrestling skills were even limited/worse than Cena or Orton.

Those moves along with the RKO are great spots and he does fine hitting those moves. It's what he does in between those that I have an issue with.

I just got done listening to the JR podcast with Austin. Simply great. Really excited to add JR's podcast into the rotation with Austin's and Jericho's.

Austin's podcast with Cena was pretty good too. Say what you want about Cena but he's a pro. Especially learning how to speak China so when the WWE finally expands into that country he could speak the language to help with the promoting of it. He's a great company guy.

Notice that I qualified it with "when interested".

he phones in matches all the time..but at his best, he is capable.

and let's not forget that a great announcer can help a wrestler as well, and Michael Cole is just awful in how he calls Orton matches.
