I don't even know what I'd do if they managed to get Carmelo to join them.

Laugh at Chris Paul I guess?

CP3 should still have enough left in the tank after his Clippers contract expires to join Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis in Miami. :shifty:

He was SITTING COURTSIDE AT MSG.

it's over. He is coming here....DISCOUNTED!

    Not 8, not 9, not 10, not 11....

    I was speaking of Melo.

That's bad character if you ask me, and I don't see him selling out.

There's really no shame in doing all you can in order to win. The sport is littered with good players who were too proud to do it, and even those that did it and still failed. Winning a chip is not easy, and doing everything you possibly can to do it should not be begrudged.

Of the 24 players playing in the ASG, only 5 have been Champions, and 3 are from the Heat. It's hard.

I mean, seriously, I'd laugh so hard. Then I'd concede that the Miami Heat are the bad guys of the league.

    ....and embrace that!

I mean, if I was part of the team's staff, I'd have Burnie dressed up as Darth Vader!

I dont ever want Pat the Rat here again. My bet is Melo-Rondo-Love or Aldridge-fillers. Wouldnt be surprised if Kyrie were a part of it based on what Ive been told. But i think Melo may want Rondo

I never really saw Lebron leaving, but I am concerned about the future of the team. Old roster and could see Bosh leaving for a bigger role. Wade is clearly in sharp decline, he will have moments of greatness, but his numbers drop every year. Riley will need to work some magic this summer to retool and get Wade on a heavily discounted deal compared to his current salary.

For now just enjoy the ride

Wade is not in sharp decline, his regular seasons just need to be managed now. His scoring is down because he's not the #1 option, but he is more efficient than ever.

And yes, we will need to re-tool around the Big 3 but we knew that. As we've seen there will always be plenty of ring chasing veterans that will play cheap and we might be able to hang onto the still young beasley and hopefully Oden as well for another year or two.

As long as LeBron and Pat are here, we will be fine and always a contender

    A) Chris Bosh was the first one that said he would never leave and I got news for you, he ain't leaving anyway.
    B) Wade is not in sharp decline. His efficiency is actually increasing each and every year.
    C) One more thing on Wade, by advanced numbers, he is still the best SG in the NBA. That not good enough?
    D) Old Rosters get retooled all the time...with "getting old" players. Circle of life for NBA contenders.

    A. People say a lot of things. Not saying he is leaving, but of the 3 he is the most likely
    B. Just because his FG percentage is better doesn't mean he isn't in decline. Numbers across the board are falling. He isn't capable of playing the role/minutes/number of games he has been in the past. You watch all the games I am sure, and there is absolutely no way you can try to tell me he isn't declining. Consistency just isn't there.
    C. You, I and everyone else would trade him for Harden without blinking. Other than Harden who is he competing with? Derozan? Afflalo?
    D. Yes, they usually get retooled with more past their prime ring chasers until the core is old as well. Like the recent Lakers/Celtics/Pistons.

Not saying we won't retool with youth like SA. Just easier said than done.

First of all, Chris Bosh is the LEAST LIKELY to leave.

    Not only his FG%.

Check his advanced numbers. He beat Harden in PER, WS48 last year, and is beating him or tied with him this year as well.

and NO I would not trade him for Harden. Harden plays no defense, and Wade is an elite defender. I like to win championships.

Ask yourself, who knows how to interpret statistics better...you or me?

He is not in "sharp decline". he is actually aging as gracefully as any NBA star ever has.

Harden is on a team that doesn’t emphasize defense. When on the Thunder he was a very solid defender. Harden on Miami is much better fit with his shooting.

As for Wade, other than FG percentage every single stat of Wade’s is down. He only plays when his body feels good and he is averaging his lowest numbers across the board since his rookie year.

Last 6 seasons he has gone from 30.2 to 26.6 to 25.5 to 22.1 to 21.2 to 18.7.

Look I love Wade. He has been a pleasure to watch, but to say he isn’t declining, you are in denial.

You don;t understand the statistics you are looking at. Thus why you are quoting ppg.

Harden has NEVER played defense. His Synergy numbers have been crap since he came into the league.

I think Wade doesn't have the same numbers because he isn't playing what I liked to call "Hero Ball" anymore where he forces a bunch of ridiculous shots and racks up stats.

Of course injuries are a concern but he's been smart managing them. He isn't hobbled, he just realizes there is no reason to play through any soreness right now.

I would agree he isn't as athletic as when he came into the league but IMO he's a better player now.

He will be experiencing this soreness the rest of his career. He is a more intelligent player no question, but he's not better. He's becoming less and less of a focal point of defenses, hence why his efficiency is rising, but is becoming less and less able to consistently dominate games on both ends of the floor.

These are his Eff. Rating, Eff. Diff., and PER Indexed and Ranked for SG's:

Dwyane Wade (Since his best season):

    08-09: #1
    09-10: #1
    10-11: #1
    11-12: #1
    12-13: #1
    13-14: #2

If you want, I can make **** up...like "He is in decline..he can't play anymore..etc...etc..."

As I said, you watch the games, try to tell me you aren't watching a player who has consistently declined over the last 5 years on both ends of the floor.

Context man. He was number 1 in 08 when in arguably the most demanding role in the league. Now he is number 2 in a much much less demanding role. Still efficient in his role, just doesn't/can't do as much. Never said he wasn't still very good.

I re-adjusted the numbers. They were better than I posted.

Those numbers are adjusted for minutes played. So they have context. he is only #2 because of GAMES PLAYED. If not, he would be pretty well in the lead at #1 again.

He has not. He reached his peak, and is now leveling toward a slow slide like every player that reaches +30.

Not even referring to minutes. When on the floor his role has declined. As I typed still efficient in his role, just doesn't/can't do as much.
