Think of where he was in 2010-2011 to now. That is a sharp decline, as a result of injuries/age/betterment of the team leading to a diminished role

He is essentially still the same player he has been the last 4 years on a per min. basis.

No. He just took much more bad shots then. So did Lebron.

For example..Chris Bosh. He is playing better than he ever has in his entire career. Yet..look at his "basic" numbers.

You just don;t have enough sense to admit when you are wrong and are arguing with somebody that actually draws checks for his interpretation of statistics.

I do not feel I am wrong. Based on watching the games, seeing his career progress both statistically and in the team frame work. Agree to disagree is all

    LOOK..These are Undeniable FACTS.

    FACTS:

Wade has a better Rebound Rate this year than any of his last 3 years. He has a better Assist % than any of his last 4 years. He is shooting a Career high in FG% and his True Shooting % is ALSO a Career High, and his Defense? His Def. Rating is consistent with his career average.

    Yep..declining.

He is just not playing enough people. But when he plays? He is pretty damn good.

Bosh never declined. He looks the same physical mobility and execution wise as he did when he got here and he never misses games.

He does not impact the game as vastly as he has in years past. He isn't able to play as much or as often. No team would tell you game planning for Wade is as difficult as in years past. Still efficient in his role, smaller role, less overall impact due to that role. Less impact=decline.

Again never said he is done, or he sucks. He just isn't as dominant as in years past. Anyone who doesn't see that has blinders on.

So he can still dunk? What's the point of these clips?

I saw Derek Fisher dunk a few years ago. Ray Allen still dunks

I mean from an outsider's POV, there is a few reasons that D-Wade's basic numbers are "down".....

    1) They dont need him to do much anymore except be efficient
    2) They monitor and "save" him for the playoff run during the regular season because when he gets in the tournament he is 110% at that point (like last year).
    3) The East is **** so the Heat can cruise through the regular season and be a Top 3 seed
    4) LeBron

This is a smart season long gameplan by Riles that is implemented by Spo.....essentially save D-Wade for the stretch run and playoffs....

It has kindaaaaaaaa worked to perfection last year and this year so far...

I was amazed when Allen threw down that one dunk between two defenders. That was ridiculous. I wish I remembered which game it was and had the clip.

Been reported..and I can back this up as well...

Plenty of teams have approached the Heat for Norris Cole. Heat has turned them all down.

I'm glad they did. To have a PG unit of Chalmers and Cole (I think we can call them a law firm at the moment) is a blessing.

Good. We can't trade away the next Bill Russel. All those rings for the young fella. What's the most consecutive championships won by a incoming player in the NBA? He might just end up 3 for 3 this year and counting lol

I think thats his point. Everyone knows Wade is still a very good player. But you said it...when he plays...why doesnt he play all the time? Because his body doesnt let him. Its not a decline statistically, its a decline in his physical skillset. Can he jump as high or make all the same plays as he did 3-4-5 years ago? No. And thats not a knock on Wade. Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and every other player goes through that stage where their body doesnt let them do certain things. He may be more efficient and its great for you heat fans that he is, but ask yourself if Lebron left would this be a player you would want to give a 4-5 year contract to at say 15M a season? Maybe if youre the Knicks and youre desperate? Otherwise....Im not sure. You know the last couple of years of that are going to be a lot of time spent on the bench because of that knee and a lot of time in the trainers room.

Sect, any way Wade will take a steeper discount this upcoming summer? I am operating on the assumption that all 3 hop out and re-sign to avoid Luxury tax. Or am I missing something?

And why did they do that? His body cant handle 82 games at this point? They want him fresh for the playoffs? Trying to prolong his career via the Pop method? All 3? Sounds about right. Theres nothing wrong with it. Its natural. Hes taken a pretty good beating in his career especially when he was younger and used to go to the hoop relentlessly. You dont consistantly rank as a FTA leader and not take more then your share of hacks and gets wear and tear on those knees.
