The funny thing is tha Bron/Wade/Bosh are unselfish enough to make it happen if they desire. Its more on Melo and what he wants.

It may be a pipe dream but that is what people said about the Big 3 too.

If you want a good joke, someone edited the Heat Wikipedia page to include Pau on the roster. Says we traded him for Battier lol.

I know they can opt out but I didn't think about a resign to re-join the team. I was thinking the Heat just try to avoid the tax by cutting some other players.

The Heat have the books clear save for Norris Cole...they have the opportunity to reshape their cap again. Pat Riley is good at his job.

Andersen too I believe. I was worried that LeBron might bolt if we didn't win this year until you said that. Wow, Pat can remake the team in his image next year, again. If they bring their salaries down to say $15 million per year, Miami could do some real damage again.

Kevin Love opened a can of whoop arse on the Pacers tonight, 39 pts, 16 rbs with 3 min. to go.

Hibbert 4 pts, West 4 pts, 11 rbsd combined.

I was looking at the standings.

Pacers have played 29 home games, to Heat's 24. They are 26-3 at home, 15-10 on the road. They are up 2.5 pts on Heat and 2 games ahead. There is likelihood things will even out and Heat has a chance to get homecourt again, which is significant.

It's extremely significant, as good as Miami is to be able to win one in Indiana will be rough under the leagues current Pacers get all the calls at home rules. And even if they manage that task, if u are again the road team against an OKC?? Tough task.

Roger Mason Jr. to Sacramento for a pick (protected 2nd rounder), and is now working to complete a deal that will bring one of two players in: Anthony Morrow, Caron Butler.

There was talk of Evan Turner. Price too steep.

Not sure what to think about this. Hawes is better than Zeller, but he's an expiring and Zeller is getting better. At least it means less Henry Sims I suppose (who I don't find to be atrocious, just very limited).

Edit: Well looks like Sims got shipped to Philly in the deal, no loss, but we got rid of Earl Clark in the process?!? **** yea!!!

    3 team trade:
    Washington gets Andre Miller
    Nuggets get: Jan Vessely
76ers get: Eric Maynor and 2 second round picks (unspecified from which team but seems to be coming from washington.....76ers could have up to 9 2nd round picks)

No official confirmation on this but its expected to be done...
Knicks trade Beno Udrih (who wanted out)
Denver trades Jordan Hamilton (Good 3 point shooter and defender)

This will also open up trades for Shumpert without losing depth on the wing. If we can get a 1st or a player for him (Ridnour, Collison) and a 2nd or something Id jump on that. Guy cant seem to keep it all together for more then a game or 3 at a time.

Good trade for Washington to dump Jan Vessely. I'm not sure why Whitman never played Maynor... I like his game. Can't hate on 'Dre Miller though. They have been fun to watch when I don't get the Heat games.

Danny Granger to Philly for Evan Turner and LaVoy Allen.

Not sure this trade makes Indy any better as I'm not a fan of Turner but granger has sucked this eyar.

And can I just say a hearty HAHA to that scum, wannabe thug, Granger. The guy on more than one ocassion in the East semis 2 years ago tried to break LeBron's arm.

Now some suggestion that Sixers will buy out Granger and that the Heat would have interest.

If that happens, forget everything I said in the last post, lol.

Still not convinced they can take down the Heat, but gotta give the Pacers credit for trying. Went ALL in with last summers moves, Bynum, this trade.

Thing is, Bynum and Turner aren't that good.

In fact, I doubt Bynum cracks the regular playoff rotation.

Our top 8 is still way better than theirs. You're not going to play more than that. Oden will probably be our 9th.

As long as Wade is healthy it's a 6 game series. If Wade is gimpy then it could go 7 and go either way

Disagree on Turner. He is a decent rotation piece. Bynum won't play much if at all. Was more just giving credit for the efforts they have made.

Wade will be gimpy more than likely. I feel Miami wins, but it is very tight.

Turner absolutely helps Indiana. Hes an athletic wing player who can create a bit and is a plus defender. Coming off the bench on the 2nd unit he allows stephenson and george some rest and some time where they dont have to guard lebron or wade. It also gives them flexibility to go small and not lose anything on defense. Grangers body doesnt allow him to do anything anymore.

It's certainly possible he'll provide more than Granger but I doubt he has even a Gary Neal sized impact in the playoffs.

I also don't like how he is a very good rebounder. Just adds to their dominance over us In that area. However as the Dallas game showed, when you have the best player in the league you can overcome things like rebounding haha

I think you may be letting your dislike of Indiana blind you on that. I still think Miami wins the series but Turner is better then a Gary Neal type

    Not really.

Look at any anaytics or advanced stats guy. Haberstroh is laughing at this move.

Turner is a volume, inefficient scorer on a historically bad team. And even with all that he's only averaging 17 ppg.

He will make a minimal impact in the playoffs. He's not even a Mike Miller with a history of just getting scorching hot from 3 for a quarter or two. And that's why he won;t have the impact of a Gary Neal type.

Turner is irrelevant to Indy beating the Heat. They'll only beat the Heat is their stars outplay the Heat's stars. And if wade is ehalthy that is unlikely to happen.

The problem with statistics is you have to put them in context and you're not doing that. You're just throwing them out at face value and they don't hold weight when you do that. Yes Turners team is historically bad. Because of the lack of players besides he and MCW. When you play 2 on 5 yes you're going to be horribly ineffective especially when you're playing a role, go to scorer, that you have no business in. You're going to force shots, draw double teams, drawing the opposing teams best defenders nightly, and continously force shots when your team is down because no one else can and you're being asked to play the role of alpha male. Put him in a different role and the player will perform different. I'm not saying he will suddenly be a 20 ppg player or even a 15 ppg player but he will help them.

He's a 29% 3 point shooter. He wasn't a good 3 point shooter during their two playoff runs either.

A talented offensive player should be scoring over 20ppg on a team like Philly. He's a decent slasher and rebounder for his position but those attributes too are overrated due to the 76ers ineptness.

He might give them more than Granger during the regular season, which might help them lock up the #1 seed, but he won't have much of an impact on the ECF, which is the whole point of the trade for Indy.

Let's look at it this way. Out of these two X factors, Turner or Oden, who do you think affects the ECF more?
