    Price tag was cheap IMO

We are talking about a guy who in 2012 only allowed 1.64% of the passes thrown at him to be converted to either first downs or touchdowns. A guy who was the worst tackling safety in football his rookie year, worked his *** off all offseason and came back as a podititive in that area.

Yep he had a slightly down 2013 comparatively but at his age, hunger levelx and talent I'm not scared bu that.

Only reason I wouldn't have gone even higher is I couldn't afford it.

Also if Champ goes for that much at his age and Harris went for that much, Rahim is a damn steal IMO.

Do your thing playa. I had champ last year and people gave me crap for it. Hes not a #1 CB anymore but he can still be effective if used right.

Well its not being scared. It is a one year league but personally I also consider the teams future when looking at the roster. I'm not sayong it's a bad deal at all for you if you can afford it. No hate here, I wanted Champ too. I'm just saying it makes me feel even bettee about the salary of Rahim.

But if we all just look at one year...why have a 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th draft round at all?

I got Jahri Evans in round seven. It's meaningful to some people.

If it wasn't for the full draft I would never be a part of the GM League.

Its meaningful to me too, but if I only counted how the team will look this season I'd probably say "Nice pick but Im not sure he contributes this season" and move on. That's my only point.

Keep bidding on players. Peter Kiper's top ten most overpaid cut players list appreciates it. :shifty:

Some lower round rooks contribute, and we pretty much all keep track of who we draft. It's not so meaningful to the team, per se, but when you draft a future great player later, it's pretty cool. I think I nabbed KJ Wright in the 5th round for example.

The Cleveland Browns would like to welcome LB Justin Durant to the team at the veteran's minimum. He has been a solid starter throughout his career and will give us good depth at what is potentially our strongest position.

    Right, I totally agree.

My main point is if you only look at one year, why is there voting for GM Of The Year AND Team Built To Win Now? It would be the same

I've always viewed GM based on total moves and future looking. Some teams start off well and just get older. I wouldn't vote them for GM of the year but I would for win now.

A GM that took a terrible team and made them respectable did a lot of work and would get that GM vote, but not Team built to win now.

I also look at how much a GM keeps their team in place in terms of their good players. I'm not a fan of blowing up a team just to make moves. If you have a franchise QB, you shouldn't trade him for stuff to tinker with for example IMO. I'm not telling anyone how to run their team, just how I vote and think.

For example, the 3(?) years I played, I had rebuilding projects and treated them as such. Didn't take on huge deals or trade away picks because I was never going to be built to win now.

If we go keeper league, you'll see my trades cut down by about 90% and me just trying to hoard mid round picks

I'm glad I'm surpisingly good at math. Honestly here since its a one year league I'm okay making some crazy trades and giving up a lot of value for what I want. If we had a keeper league with dead cap and those type of things my strategy would be totally different like most.

Now Jennings who was cut has had his salary matched. Someone could have given a 7th for him.

Yah a keeper league would be interesting. Right now I just like taking bad teams and blowing the crap up out of them to see what I can put together in the end. Keeps me entertained enough to not be as bored during the lulls in between real free agency and the draft.

Well I wanted Wallace last year at any cost so...yeah. The Manning one was a feud between Gish and someone else. That escalated really quickly

I honestly can't believe you actually bid on him. We only bid on him so we could cut him ourselves and make a write up about how he can't get a long in locker rooms and team couldn't trust him..... SMH
