Well, a little late, but the Miami Dolphins would like to welcome Center Lyle Sendlein (who will be moved to Left Guard) and Guard Chris Chester. Ryan Tannehill is now a lot closer to not losing his crap when he sees a turnstile.

As the Bills interim GM, I will not be bidding (or attempting to resign any of my UFA's) on any of the resign players as that would be an obvious conflict of interest

Folks. If your going to just outright cut a player with some actual value.....maybe just post in a discussion thread something like:

"Hey....cutting so and so if I don't see an offer soon".

You may actually get a low rounder out of it instead of nothing. Just putting a guy on your trade block isn't good enough if there's no indication of what you want we may just assume that you want too much or have a value figure on them higher then you do. Seen at least 4 guys cut lately I would have thrown a bone to even at their contracts ;p

I'd rather you guys bid up on cut players than get a late round pick in return.

I'm only taking this stance because no one cares about trade blocks apparently.

Yah right...you've gone on how much about Harris? Trade blocks have barely been updated in a week. Most folks use them pretty poorly.

And I am not even talking about 7's. You telling me that Jones couldn't have fetched a high day 3 pick?

Same people that complain 7's are nothing will also be the ones scrambling for them on draft day when they see players like Zac Stacy still there.

I update my trade block and look at others every day or two .

But the thing is he knew I liked Jones and knew I'd probably have given something. I'm not mad, I difnt want him THAT BAD or I'd have accepted the first deal we worked on that Jones was involved in. I'm just saying its curious.

I actually know there are going to be good draftable players that late. Thats why in my trade block is says if you like a minor guy just offer a late rounder. Great picks always slip here somehow.

I think some (not all) of that is teams thinking they can cut someone and resign them for less via free agency. Timing is always the key on that.

Yah with the Long case that's what they probably thought. I'm still not sure what Cinci was thinking with Jones though ;p That ones just baffling.

Perhaps..but still...get some value out of it ;p

Hey I'll fully take advantage when people do stuff like that......I just hate to see value go to waste like that.

First timer in experience, but it's never a good idea to cut a player this early in the offseason. Especially if he's a top 5-10 player at his position with a recognizable name among the hardcore who have taken up the mantle of GML GMs.

It's one of those times where a advisory council could help a rookie GM and indicate what a poor it would be and put forth an expected to be cut thread, you can use it as a filtering process to make sure no one is screwing themselves because other GMs could immediately respond and show interest in the player that is about to be cut and at least give that GM a late round pick as compensation.

That being said, im about to cut Heath Miller, I'd like him cheaper, but if someone wants to go a mid round or a few later round picks, i'd be obliged to chat.
Also, if anyone is interested in a sign and trade with BJ Raji, Sam Shields or pickett or jolly, let me know.

Mach already sold his soul in 2007 to have JaMarcus Russell as the #1 overall pick. He forgot to add the stipulation that Russell actually be good.
