ACE-23 is currently the best AR, or gun in general. People tend to frown upon others who use it saying it is a noob gun, etc. I pay no attention to those people. They want to feel like elitists. BF always has a kick arse gun or two, and in BF3 it was the M4 and M16. This time its the ACE23. AS-VAL is completely different than in BF3. IRL the AS-VAL is a true assault rifle, firing a modified 7.62 round and designed by the Ruskies to be one, if not assume the role of a DMR/AR hybrid. In BF4, they classed it as a PDW due to its crazy rate of fire, but kept its stopping power with the min damage model it has. They aren't the same guns, but many will argue the BF4 version is stronger. I disagree. It was one of my fav. guns in BF3 and I can't seem to get comfortable with it in BF4. Def. give it a shot though. Lowest time to kill of all weapons in the game.
The M5K equivalent so far is the CZ-3A1 or the JS2. The M5K itself might come back in the Naval Strike DLC, since the MP5 is used by the Navy SEALs.
I do use it in full auto. Never got into the ACW. Ace 52 is decent. I've used it a lot but I definitely prefer lower recoil or higher rpm over higher damage. Not to mention the low range and muzzle velocity on the ace 52. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Can't believe its taken me this long to start using the airburst launcher. This thing might be the best gadget in the game. Just took out 3 sniper noobs on the skyscraper in flood zone with a single burst from across the map, right before the match ended. I've gotten plenty of kills from long range using the SRAW but I'm definitely enjoying the airburst more. Using it as a sniper when I know the distance is a bit too far for my MTAR is proving quite useful as well. It's safe to say support has become my favorite class, especially with the unlimited c4 which is why I started using it in the first place. How good is the UCAV btw? Looks like it's been nerfed a lot and rather useless now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
The Airburst is really an underused gadget. To be fair, mortars are easier to use and accomplish the same objective of taking out snipers. I just wish the mortar could refill ammo from crates. I've never been able to refill mortar ammo, ever.
Ammo boxes. Your equipped weapon gets first refill priority, then secondary non-equipped weapons, then grenades.
I LOVE playing support. Really the only class I don't like playing is assault. They might have some of the best guns but I don't like feeling helpless against tanks. As for my favorite guns: Assault: M416 PDW: AS VAL Carbine: ACE 21 or ACE 52 LMG: MG4 I really want to start using the other guns but don't really know what to try. Plus I've never been really good with shotguns or snipers in other shooters.
I really should play more support. I just got the MG4 and love it. The Type88 is a laser if you tap fire though. If you want to try new weapons, I suggest in no particular order; ACW-R, MTAR, L85, ACE-23.
I use the ACE-23 and it is good but for some reason I prefer the M416. Maybe its the reload. I don't know how I'll unlock the L85. Just seems like something silly I'll never pull off. The other two I'll have to give a whirl. I feel like the MTAR is the gun that kills me the most.
The MTAR is one of those guns that seems really dangerous and awesome until you get your hands on it and have to live with its drawbacks. The L85A2's unlock assignment can be either really fun or really aggravating. Try to find some camping sniper blissfully unaware of your presence and defib him. The other kills are easy.
Getting the points isn't the problem. Just starting to use support and having a long ways to go is the problem. Sent from my Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk
Use XP boosts and play on a Metro 64 player server that allows explosives. You'll get the points in 2-3 hours.
Everytime I yearn for c4 the airburst launcher surprises me yet again... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
*Leaked* Carrier Assault game mode video tutorial. Game mode similar to Titan Assault from 2142. Coming out in the next Naval Strike DLC. Watch it before it gets yanked from YT.
The assignments and weapons included in Naval Strike have leaked as well.
Well, there goes the validity of the L85 - Dice just nerfed the ROF on it. SMH. http://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_4/comments/1zmudo/the_l85a2_rpm_has_been_reduced/ The Beretta looks nice. Curious to see how it performs. Looking for an alternate to the L85 now. M416 is my go to, but I want to have others aside from the ACE 23. Going to give the F2000 and AUG a shot. Maybe even try the SCAR since I like its stopping power and like to tap fire anyway.
750 RPM is pretty good, it's just 20 under the ACE 23. I don't see many people using the L85A2 anyway, though I did spend a few Domination rounds last week unlocking all of its Battlepacks.
It has a very long load time and poor accuracy/stability (unless you tap fire the beast with the proper attachments) at range. Its one distinct advantage has been nullified. I haven't played BF4 for a while so I will give it a go after the patch still, since I think I can use it at range since the ROF isn't that important for those encounters. Unlocking all the battlepacks for it....you are a completionist aren't you. lol
That actually wasn't the goal. I was trying it out, started racking up kills left and right, and by the time I unlocked the final pack I had my fill and switched to another gun. The high recoil doesn't mean it's useless at range, you just have to tap fire. I got plenty of long range kills using the gun.
Here's a preview of the new weapons and gadgets. The anti-helo mines are going to piss off a lot of people! Oh man. Beretta AR looks like it could be deadly. Holy deviation on new DMR.

Was the Naval Strike delay for PC announced prior to today, and I'm the only one that got caught by surprise? Or did they really decided to launch it, and hit the PC Users with a "oh btw you guys aren't getting it yet, sorry"? I'm not part of "waaah, fix b4 group", but if that's how they handled it, that's just terrible. Turrible I say.
LOL. Apparently they let everyone know 3 hours before launch. Whatever. When it comes it comes. Was looking forward to it, but I'd rather they release a better product.
I'm at work, internet access is pretty restricted - they say anything at all? Delayed for a week? A month?
Nothing other than this; http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf...t-to-the-sea-with-battlefield-4-naval-strike/
Checked out BF4 reddit, saw this stickied on top. The video in the link: Most of that post is speculation...however that video clearly shows that he is onto something. Thoughts? [EDIT] Also,
The bug that caused the Naval Strike delay appears to be the ability to crash any server from the browser.
I actually know nothing about the new Battlefield, but where, roughly on the globe, does the Naval Battle map take place? Off the coast of China?
