    2014 MIAMI DOLPHINS OFFSEASON PLAN

$ Free Agency $ Hopefully get somewhere around 40 million in cap space with these ….
*Restructure WR Mike Wallace..Set to make 15 million next year I believe , .. for 900 yards and 5 tds..umm?)
*Restructure CB Dimitri Patterson .. Great talent WHEN healthy.. missed half of last season still 4 ints
    >Cut or trade Daniel Thomas & Micheal Egnew

-Resign CB Brett Grimes --No brainer here ( 4 yrs. 35 million)
-Resign DT Paul Solali-- Younger than Starks, hometown discount ? ( offer 3 yrs. 15 million If not he can walk)
    - Sign LT Anthony Collins -- Only 25 years old , Solid not injury prone and I have a feeling Monroe and Albert will
be very over paid/priced. (5 yrs 34 million)
-Sign RB Lagarette Blount--Only 27 powerful between tackles runner. Ties to Dennis Hickey, Less mileage than
Moreno, Younger than MJD and Jennings .Tate will be over paid/priced . ( 3yrs 12 million)
-Sign OG Jon Asamoah --Only 25 years old , Solid not injury prone ( 4yrs 18 million )
    -Sign DT B.J. Raji -- ( 2 yrs 6 million )
*-Sign FS Malcolm Jenkins – Veteran but still young too pair with Rashed Jones ( 3 yrs 10 million )
-Just before Season starts , if LT Bryant Mckinnie is still unemployed offer Veteran minimum for depth.

NFL DRAFT: During the first round , Let’s make a trade will the 49ers. We swap the 19[SUP]th[/SUP] for the 30[SUP]th[/SUP] picks (so they move up from 30 to 19 probably take a WR ) we pick up their extra 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] & 7th round picks and they get Johnathan Martin reuniting him with John Harbaugh. Maybe even throw in Daniel Thomas

ROUND 1. OT Zach Martin -- Experienced, Verstial, Durable. Our new starting right tackle.

Round 2. RB Tre Mason Jr.-- Dynamic between tackles runner stocky build. Great comp. to Blount

Round 3. DT Anthony Johnson – Massive man from SEC. Runner stuffer that can pass rush also

Round 3. ILB Chris Borland – Instincts , Solid Build. Will take Ellerbe place soon.

Round 4. OG Brandon Thomas -- Solid , Experienced. Probably our starting LG

Round 5. FS Vinnie Sunseri—Great Football IQ , pedigree & instincts. Played 3 games in 2013 2 pick 6’s (ACL)

Round 6. TE Colt Lyerla – Dynamic playmaker with baggage. 6'4'' with highest vert at combine among TE.

Round 7. OT Sentreal Henderson –Hometown kid, Great size & upside but badly needs to be coached up.

Hmmm. Not sure bj raji gets paid only 6m. He'll get more. Not from us hopefully. Also, Wallace has absolutely no incentive to restructure his deal. He'll be here mad getting paid 15m.

I'd let Starks go and draft Aaron Donald in the first. I just see too many OT options in FA to miss on talent like that. The draft forum has me really liking Lache Seastrunk so he or Bishop Sankey would be my 2nd pick. Mike James looked good in limited action and he's a guy I want as our second RB with Seastrunk/Sankey.

To everyone who wants to restructure Wallace: are you aware that his cap number is much lower in 2015 & 2016 than it is in 2014? Why push money from a year where we have a lot of cap space to the future? We'll need that space in those years for other players who will need resigned/extended to bigger deals. Pouncey and Tannehill first and foremost. There is zero percent chance of Wallace taking a paycut, and if the team decides to cut him after 2014, it would be much less painfull without guaranteeing more of his contract.

Nice plan for the off season!!!

    A few things:

Anthony Collins is 28 still love the move but big difference from giving a 25 yr old a 5 year deal and givign a 28 year old. I'd look for a 3-4 year instead.

Rest of the moves I really liek but personally I don't think we would need to spend money on Blount and draft Mason. I'd much rather have a Tre Mason in the 1st round.

Love the trade in the draft and hope we could pull it off.

If those end up being our first 5 picks in the draft I am more than happy. Not a big fan of the last 3. Henderson is going to be picked way before the 7th. Lyerla would be great from talent standpoint but again he has big problems in his past.

I for one hate the trade. To move from 19 to 30 will cost the 49ers a second or 3rd and 4th round picks. No way Martin is there for us at 30. Love the idea but not willing to give away# 19.

    Thanks for the feedback.
If collins is 28 then yes i agree less money.
Lamar miller to me is a perfect 3rd back. not comfortable with just mason and miller. I see blount as "now" work horse, mason as "future" work horse ( gotta have 2 in todays NFL) and miller situational.
Henderson probably will be gone but Im banking on his bad rap for him to fall.

It's comments like this, that make the mains almost unbearable at times. You guys should be better than this.

New member comes in, writes up and offseason plan to be debated and discussed, and people can't comment on the post itself, and just attack the poster. Unbelievable. Especially when people are subjected to so much useless crap over and over (everyone knows who I'm referring to here) in thread after thread.

If you dont have anything useful to add, just close the thread and move on. Nobody needs to see these stupid one line waste of space comments. I'd much rather read a thought out plan as to what someone's opinion is for our offseason plans. I don't have to agree with it, and if you dont, that's fine, but tell us why... explain why you disagree, or agree with some of these thoughts. Don't just be an *******.

As for the OP... thanks for the write up. Always enjoy hearing people's thoughts. Appreciate the time and effort, don't let the negative garbage get you down. Welcome to the site!

You know they have some pretty effective medications for people with personality disorders these days. It could be time for a psyche eval.

In the meantime, try to chill.

I thought he improved tenfold from his rookie year but didn't see many more snaps. Curious. He actually made a couple nice blocks and a few very nice catches when given a chance.

I hear ya.. I would like to see more of him as well so maybe not draft a TE late and use that pick on OL depth. But i REALLY wanna see more of Dion Sims. I thought he could the ball well and got up field when he could. Not sure why we dont use him more.
