Definitely. I've noticed most of the active guys here are either on very very early or very very late. Not many mid-day guys.
no, that's not allowed, you can't cut him. He was a free agent when this started, you chose to re-sign him, you cannot then cut him. just like a free agent cannot be cut or traded at a later date.
The rules only state we can't trade them. They're regular salaried players just like everyone else, not tagged players. However, there probably should be an amendment that stipulates you can't turn around and bid on your own player if you cut him.
but he was a re-sign with his original team. That's no different than any other player who re-signs with his original team BEFORE free agency starts. There's no mention in the rules of not being able to cut him. It only says they can't be traded. I wouldn't have bid that much on him had it been specifically stated we can't cut them.
I have to say I actually think Todd is right. Under the rules for re-signing you only wrote can't trade.
I also agree with this. I don't care how its settled honestly....just saying he is right that you only wrote trade.
Thanks. Losing Michael Johnson to hurt, but I think Avril more than makes up for it with the value and production.
this makes absolutely ZERO sense by the way. So the reason you BID THAT MUCH on him was because why? so no other team would bid, and then you could cut him?
todd, you want to continue the argument/debate about you trying to cut Tate publicly.. lets do it here. no reason to mess up the cut/bid threads
fellow gm's- I'm a server in mobile Alabama during Mardi gras season, I've been working all weekend from open to close. when I get off, I'm a little tired. so if I bid on a player who you were close to getting, I'm sorry. but get the hell off my *** about a bid. Mardi gras ends tomorrow, so I'll be able to put forth more time into this league. with that, go suck one.
And RickyBobby stops Boik from earning an easy free agent steal of the year with a mere 20 minutes to go.
hey I'd rather make my money than take a chance getting arrested downtown for public intoxication, BRO
As I told you in the PM, I bid excessively high on him to ensure I'd get him b/c I was short on receiver, but I did so under the knowledge that we could cut him in accordance with the rules b/c they were made to seem like the re-siging was different and independent of FA rules. It was just an honest mistake. Why else would I bid THAT high on a player like Tate if I didn't think I could cut him since he's a re-sign and not a tagged player?
Houston would like to welcome the new minimum wage club of 3-4 end Brett Keisel, backup NT Earl Mitchell (who is probably going to earn a crap tonne more in FA), and backup LB O'Brien Schofield.
I'm sure he absorbs some of it of the alcohol %. Wonder what proof it ends up being after it's spat back out? It's kinda like when Fin-O snowballs his BF. How much is really spit and how much is the other, knowwutImsayin.
