Yes he would be perfect. Great compliment to Miller. Get rid of Thomas. Good power back, can catch and is a great blocker. 3 down back if needed.
Chris Johnson really? You think he is going to help on 3 and 1 and at the goaline? Not to mention he is from bullocks own words a selfish player.
Why would you think your in the minority? Gerhart is the total package. He is good at everything. He is a brilliant kid with a great work ethic. I have no doubt that if he could stay healthy he could be a feature back in the NFL. Blocking, receiving, power running, running for a good average breaking tackles. Gerhart is everything Daniel Thomas was supposed to be, but never was; and Gerhart is way faster than Thomas. He has a little break away in him.
I am totally on board w/ Gerhart. Complete player, 3 down, good attitude and shouldn't cost a fortune. He's also a low mileage back so yeah. I'm not expecting anything eye-popping from him, just solid performance.
I think he gets a bad rap. He was playing for multiple coaches within a losing organization where he was the only offensive threat. if had at a good number he still has homerun capabilities and when utilized in the passing game properly can spread d's thin. I still like Thomas as short yardage. another guy whose struggled behind a horrendous o line his worst seasons (cj)were 1000 plus
I thought Suh should have won the Heisman that year, but would have also put Gerhart ahead of Ingram.
I've been hoping that we'd look at him since the season ended. With day one winding down, maybe we can get him on a reasonable three year deal and kick Thomas to the curb.
Hope Laser does a better job using our RBs than Sherman did. -Sent from my TMO Samsung Galaxy Note 3 using Tapatalk
I've been on the Toby bandwagon since the end of the season. Loved him in college and was hoping we'd draft him.
I'd much rather Gerhart than another rookie that wouldn't sniff the field because he can't pass protect. Sign Gerhart and cut Thomas.
Well at least I am not alone. All keep hearing about is Tate Blount and jones drew.I would take Toby over all of them because I feel he is the most complete back.
I think he's already received most of his guaranteed money so the cap hit wouldn't be much. He's a free agent next year. I like Donald Brown over Daniel Thomas as well.
