They better hope they get their super bowl run in this year or next, because they will be in cap hell with Osweiler at the helm

Revis would command too much for Belichick's liking... Belichick doesn't like paying players, always looking for bargains.

I was scared too, but the more I think of it, the more I realize it won't happen. Revis wants to get paid and Pats have other needs like a WR who can actually catch the ball. They don't have a ton of cap either, they could just go Cromartie

Really? That's kind of...weird. Mathews, Woodhead, AND DBrown? Who do I start in fantasy?

Talib got way waaay overpaid. As did Byrd. But at least Byrd, like, usually plays 16 games. Broncos giving new meaning to "win NOW!" with Peyton's age.

Still can't believe what Tampa managed to pay Verner. Damn. That's the kind of bargain that, I imagine, makes you go back to your phones because you have money you really didn't think you'd have. I mean, look at the rest of the corner market...What a steal. The guy is 25! They're looking at bringing in Anthony Collins and Lovie's boy Josh McCown, too. This is what you have to do when you take over a regime and have only 5 draft picks, I suppose.

Verner isn't a proven #1. He could be but he mainly handled other teams second WRs.

If Revis hits the market I'd like to see Miami go after him. After losing Talib to Denver, you have to imagine the Patriots will want him. If its too much though, the money may be better spent to try and plug up more holes. But it would be funny if the Pats lose their top CB and then fail to get the top one in Free Agency leaving a hole in their D.

Of course being a consistent super bowl contender, Pats would likely be favorites to land him.

    So, how about talking WR?

I know some think we are solid there. But, I think we need another weapon (I like Matthews but see him more as a 4th WR - a good one but). And that Philbin may like James Jones - who would really add some speed to go with

But, a guy I like is Julian Edelman. He is only 27. He would be a perfect slot guy for RT. He moves the chains. And, vitally, he would really shore up the punt return game. Edelman is an excellent PR. He had some fumble issues this past year but generally is very reliable back there. He may not fit the "run every route" mold of Philbin so I doubt we go after him. But, I think he fills some significant needs.

Otherwise, I don't dislike James Jones - but he's been around a while and is 29. His game is speed and I don't think anyone will give him big bucks at this point so he may decide to go with a contender or return to GB.

Don't like Edelman personally. He can't make plays anywhere down the field and finding a guy to just work underneath isn't hard at all.

Healthy Gibson > Edelman. Every day and twice on sunday.

Is he recovering on schedule though? The offense was less effective without Gibby.

I'd certainly be happy to see the team bring on someone like Jones on a smaller money deal to be another option to move the chains on third down and be a veteran precense in the locker room. If Gibson comes back healthy, that would give one more outlet for Tahnehill when we spread the field.

Excited about Starks. Glad he's coming back. He's a big part of our defensive line and the success we've had there. Curious as to why we signed Mitchell to 4years 16 million. Maybe Miami wasn't so confident in signing Starks? Aaron Donald @ 19 looked appealing too... oh well, im happy the dline is intact.

The offseason to me is just as enjoyable because it's all about building and the idea of improving the team for the upcoming season, adding true blood players that will be part of your team is most exciting to me, of course seeing it happen on the field is equally enjoyable, but feeling confident that you improved the team in the offseason is most important, if you don't do a good job, if you don't have good evaluators of talent, your season is going to suck.

Agreed. However, Lovie's defense wont make use of his talent and at 16 million, I think its fair to say they'll be better off without him. Just look at the disaster that was Dallas switching to Tampa 2 while paying Carr and Claiborne all that cash.

Revis/Sherman/Sam/Pat etc excel at putting their hands on WRs and redirecting them. As good as these guys are/were they are not the same in a Tampa 2. He even admitted himself that he prefers man. Instead of following the opponent's top WR all over the field, Revis would be confined to one side. As far as Lovie is concerned shutdown CBs are not necessary.

Have a feeling he ends up with NE. Nothing to base that on, just a hunch. Truth be told, if we hadn't resigned Hartline last year, I'd be hoping we'd get him.

I like Jones, and too think he would compliment our passing attack (even at his age). But, I've read there's interest on the part of the Lions and Jests. He could also resign with GB too I suppose.
