Looks like Revis wants to lose another conference championship game. Ambitious.

Because he went to the team that wins the division every year. And he fills a big need for them. I'm not saying be scared, but I'm certainly not happy about it.

Anyone else tired of the GD replay of Revis picking off a HORRIBLE pass from Tannehill while Wallace just stands and watches on NFL Network every 10 minutes.

You have to play in one in order to get to the SB.

this really doesn't bother me. talib was pretty damn good for the patriots. revis will give them a bump and having revis is a pain for the dolphins, but good teams beat other good teams. if the dolphins are heading in the right direction it should not matter who is playing corner.

I'm not thrilled either. I'm just saying I won't lose sleep over it is all. He isn't going to make Tom Brady five years younger. Their run is nearly over regardless.

I'd rather the Pats got Revis than had they signed Byrd. It is easier to avoid a boundary corner than it is to avoid a ball hawking free safety. Glad that since we did not get Byrd that he is out of the conference altogether.

It's not trolling when you respond to totally asinine comments. Which one of you wouldn't sign up right now for a Miami trip to the AFC championship game?

Surprised Revis went with a one year deal. Did no one else care to negotiate a 3-4 year deal with say, $20 M guaranteed?

But, it does hurt to see him there.

I too, however, am somewhat surprised to see the Pats stand pat with Denver on a spending spree. Denver made a great move with Talib.

But, Ware only had 6 sacks last year. He's still good but I think there are some doubts about his ability. And if he is a 6-8 sack guy next year, then they have a lot of $$ tied up in that.

But, clearly Denver is in a "win-now-at-all-costs-mode" #windowclosing

This is just highway robbery. I almost feel guilty that we're paying Starks that little, to be honest. The guy has been a workhorse and super solid player. I like Starks better than Soliai because of his versatility (though there are times Soliai is just an absolute beast - when he is that way he's as good as any at blowing up an offensive line). If Starks is there all off-season and works hard he should be better than last year.

With the quickness of Mitchell, I would like to see us go to a more attacking 4-3 ala Seattle's 4-3. They have good players but they are one heck of an aggressive team - I would like to see our D play with that kind of physical intensity.

Its not a big an upgrade over Talib, as evidenced by the contracts they signed. Two years in a row Revis' team has gone out if there way to dump him. Clearly he's still an impact player but like you said, no need to be scared.

"Panic mode" because he signed one of the top 2 or 3 corners in the league on a 1 year deal? I don't get your logic on this one. If he over spent on a long term deal then
I guess you may have something.

What exactly could Denver do to improve the already greatest offense in history? And I don't think losing Decker will break that offense. Thomas is still a true #1 in every sense, Welker is always open, and Orange Julius is another year more experienced. If anything, a power running back would be helpful to Peyton. And they can find that on draft day, if they're not content with their current horses.

Ware and Von Miller might be the greatest 1-2 punch in the history of the NFL. *Ware battled through injuries, a new scheme, and position change. I don't doubt his return to form. Guy is the fastest to 100 sacks in NFL history and is already on his way to being one of the greatest pass rushers in history.*
They're going to feast on QB's all season.

Talib (when healthy) has proven capable of shutting down top offensive playmakers, and Ward isn't so bad himself... I love what Denver did this off-season. Building that defense might be the final piece to the puzzle.

You do. This past year, I think there were about 10 minutes left in the AFC Championship Game before the Pats started playing. The year before, they quit playing at halftime. I guess that makes one full game. Good job?

Pats defense will be very very good this year. They played almost most of last season w/o Wilfork, Mayo, Love, and then lost Talib when it mattered. Getting the first 3 back plus Revis. That'll be a damn good unit. But Brady still has second-rate guys as his perimeter targets, so there's that.

Any word on what specifically is the issue? Cause, if it's something that isn't serious (ie. jeopardize his season or worse) than... I could live with it. Not live with his current deal, but a smaller one.

If we got him on the cheap that'd be pretty sly, assuming we cover our *** w backups for when he's hurt again.

If I'm the Raiders I'm on full rebuild mode anyways, build through the draft because with the way Denver is built, Kansas City is there and San Diego as well, you might as well stockpile draft picks and go on a two-three year rebuilding plan. Raiders aren't going to be competing in that division, sorry if it sounds like a loser mentality but that's just the reality, they're so far off they can't even imagine it.

Knowing the Jets they will expect him to be their number 1 and be surprised when he is a Brian Hartline type number 1 receiver in that he isn't a number 1 receiver at all.

Now if they sign him as well as draft Ebron in the first round, they are better than us or it is at least very close.

They have a much better defense, offensive line. WE have the better QB, receivers. They have the better coaching

The fact that that team finished with the same record last year is both pathetic on our part and amazing on Rex Ryan's part. That team had 4 win talent.

It is arguable whether we are ahead of them, but there is no way you can make the argument that we are "much further" ahead of them.

The Jets do not have a better defense. Not at all. They have a great run defense. We have a better pass rush and a much better secondary. We also gave up far less points.
