I don't like that they alternate her on NFL AM with that Nicole chick, who is nowhere close to as hot as Molly. I want all Molly all the time. I want to see Molly sleeping, Molly eating, Molly smiling, Molly laughing, Molly hopping, Molly skipping, Molly jumping, Molly sitting, Molly standing, Molly gazing longingly into my eyes when I wake up in the morning, Molly on top of the Empire State Bldg eating Eskimo Pies..I want them to change the name of NFL Network to The Molly Network. No more NFL AM. It should be called Molly talks football AM.

None of whom were as old as Finnegan is now. Just something to keep in mind.

No thanks on every level. Too many CB's available that are better. Finnegan is terrible.

I'd be upset at losing Carroll to that deal he got in Philly for whatever we sign Finnegan too.

Albert Breer reports that the Dolphins are finalizing an agreement with veteran CB Cortland Finnegan.
According to Breer, Finnegan receives a two-year deal.
The Dolphins have already locked up Brent Grimes to a long-term deal this offseason, but were looking at other cornerback options after they parted ways with Dimitri Patterson and lost Nolan Carroll to the Eagles.
Finnegan, 30, signed a five-year, $50 million contract that included $27 million guaranteed with St. Louis back in 2012, but he lasted just two years with the team before they elected to take the $7 million in cap space and move on.
Finnegan was limited to playing in seven games last year and totaled 27 tackles and an interception. He graded out as the second worst qualifying cornerback in the league while struggling in all areas, according to Pro Football Focus.

He's really only had one bad year in the last couple. This is only a 2 year deal, so relax. A lot of players seize these second chance opportunities as an attempt to return to form, so let's arrive at conclusions when a) the specifics of the deal are released and b) his true ability is on display in the games.

Hey, I have an interesting idea. How about waiting to see how he does before flying off the handle with all your knee jerk reactions?

I can't get on board with this...on any level.

This is such a bad signing. Horrible.

Being the number 2 cb could help him out in a division that really doesn't have stud receivers. Hickey better have gotten a cheap deal in this though.

Wouldn't mind it. As has been said, Coyle is pretty good at getting the best out of flagging DB careers. It helps push the young guys, it is a short term deal, so Finnegan will be motivated to perform to get one last paycheck, and it bring a level of physicality and toughness to our defense and secondary.

I don't care how cheap it is. When he was "healthy" in 2012, he stunk then too. He's clearly lost whatever it was that made him good.

Not to mention, the guy isn't exactly a saint. He gets his team in trouble with dumb penalties every year.

Even, if we sign him, Taylor and Davis win a job over him and we cut him, what's the point? We could have used that money for someone like Nolan Carroll or even better to make the roster better.

Finnegan used to be really good. I understand he had a bad PFF score, but come on. I'm going to be optimistic here, and I was never a fan of Carroll and I'm glad he's gone.

RT @AlbertBreer: Word is that Finnegan's deal in Miami is worth $11 million over two years, or close to that.

lmao this is officially the worst contract handed out in free agency this year.

I think that's a fair point MrClean, but it's also fair to allow a fan to have a reaction to a signing. I didn't see anyone saying, let's see how Branden Albert does before the knee jerk reactions, when it was all positive.

Personally, I think it's a terrible deal for a player that's clearly not very serviceable anymore. To give him money comparable to what Brent Grimes made last year is just asinine. At least Grimes was a good when he was healthy.

Again, looking at this deal right now, it looks like a horrible deal for a player that is no longer able to do his job. I'm not sure he would have even been given a guaranteed contract by a team if Miami hadn't. He had no other visits set up.

That hasn't been confirmed yet, and even if its true we still don't know how the contract breaks down. It may turn out bad, buts lets see first.

We don't even know yet the parameters of the contract. All we know is 2 yrs and 11 mil. There could be no guaranteed money, and the contract could be backloaded. It could include incentive bonuses. We just don't know yet.

He had a great start to 2012, don't know what happened after that. Last year he was nursing a thigh injury. I'm indifferent to this signing, so don't take these comments as a defense for the signing. I'm also not going to assume I know how he plays in 2014. He will most likely play the slot, he seems to be do well there.

Could've done a lot worse. He's got a lot of upside if he's healthy so as long as the contract isn't bad I've got no problems w it.

Dolphins were first team he visited. He had other visits lined up. There is no way of knowing if another team would have offered a contract.

Did he have other visits lined up? I've seen nothing that suggests that. I'm not being sarcastic, just actually asking.

If so, that certainly helps. In my mind, I can see a guy that was the worst player at his position (and the year before was one of the worst) being in high demand.
