The most ridiculous thing is that in the end, he was still standing. And not shell shocked.

    Thanks for the video.

That's a lot of carnage to get to the same conclusion, the offensive line ****ing sucked. So did the coaching.

Right, but specific sacks can change the outcome of a game. They can kill a potential game winning drive or turn the ball over for the other team to get the winning score. On a spread sheet, across the length of a season 7-8 sacks may not make a difference, but in reality just one of those may have kept us from being 9-7.

Back to your pressures quandary, first of all, I don't think "pressures" is an objective stat, like sacks or completions. I think its more subjective, like drops, for example. I'm fairly certain you could have 10 people watch the same handful of plays and come with a different number of pressures. Having said that, even if it was uniform, are pressures counted per person pressuring? If QB X gets pressured by one player, should that count the same as QB Y being pressured by 2 players on the same play? Then if QB Y is pressured from both sides of the line and the center of his line doing there job but there's nowhere for him to go forward, is that weighted the same as QB X who is only pressured from one side and has half the field to run to?

Back to back sacks in the Ravens game, after Tannehill made an amazing throw to Gibson.

I'm making these opinions based on what I think a Qb with good escapability talent and instincts like Kap, Wilson or a Luck would do, and the caveats that I do recognize how bad the oline was, their gross.

25 sec..that play he needs to see the openness on the left perimeter, if he goes left instead of up the middle, it's clear sailing for him, or he could initially go left, see the back outlet, and that back has clear sailing..a quick decision and instincts would of went left, his protection was there.

37 sec, don't move up Ryan, escape to the right of the tackle who's getting beat, no one is there if he escapes right.

1:18... Must see that corner blitz, react mentally and physically quicker to climb the pocket, bad ball security.

    1:28... Plenty of time, froze..terrible.

2:36.. No sense of urgency once his initial read wasn't there, had time to run but drifted backwards nonchalantly while trying to exit right, allowing the Dlineman to tackle him from behind.

5:27.. Must see it and exit right, wide open, instead moves forward..

It seems as though he has been programmed that at first feeling of pressure he should climb and climb.

5:44.. There is a time where the feet have to be moving forward, climbing, there were clear lanes in front of him, but he stayed static.

6:55. Must get rid of ball, throw it 50 yards if you have to.

8:09.. Exit strategy to the right..

There were other plays where bad ball security were evident that I didn't list, but my argument in this case is he's not going to be in the league of Kap and Wilson when it comes to this, he simply doesn't have the agility, peripheral vision, and lateral quickness to be such.

We need to now make it priority to protect this passer so he can execute what he is good at, then design at least a half dozen plays where the design takes him outside the pocket where he can also display a part of his skillset that is exceptional, on the run passing.

Sure, I can see that, all the more reason to tell Sherman to go screw himself and take matters into his own hands, we never saw conscious decisions to run thru the pocket for a first down.
