Hard to see any team giving up a pick for that contract. Would be a huge coup for Hickey if he makes it happen.

I would be cool with it if the price coming back were right.....

Also remember the Raiders need a WR and have the money to do it.....

Not that I'm happy with his contract, but who would replace him?? Didn't we go through this after getting rid of Marshall and then having a terrible passing game? At least then we had a better run game. Now we have one of the worst run games.

And although he dropped plenty of passes, there were times he was open and was over/under thrown as well...it wasn't entirely his fault.

Not sure if its true...if it were I'd assume only if they could get a lot in return, which seems unlikely due to said contract.

Whether this turns out to be true or not, it does my heart good to see how many people are finally questioning a report's validity before outright accepting it as the truth.

As a reminder, this could be completely true, kinda true or just a fabrication. (Kinda true = Someone called us with an offer and we listened but we're not actively shopping him.)

See I dont get into caring about journalist, I look at it as "is this good/bad for the team" I mean like you said it could be very possible that Miami is either fielding or initiating phone calls on him or others. Maybe they get close to a trade but it doesn't happen and for one reason or another it falls through, that makes a person a ****bag journalist? The only reporters sources I take with a grain of salt mostly report out of Miami, their track record speaks for themselves. The rest I take the wait and see approach....

Again depending on what comes back to Miami I would be open to trading anybody but Grimes and RT....

Why not take a 7 million dollar cap hit and lose the only playmaker on offense?

People REACHING for headlines in late March.

I wouldn't mind giving up a 2015 conditional 7th round lock if he takes a 97% pay cut. That contract is awful.

not going to happen. makes no sense, counterproductive. we need to focus on the offensive line & running game to have time for a deep pass & integrate Wallace better in medium range.

Whoever trades for him isn't cutting him this year...

I would be thrilled if this happened. I don't care what the compensation is, I would almost be willing to pay the other team to get out from under his contract and in a position where we could add a player who gives a **** and/or fits the offense.

Rishard Matthews should have been taking snaps away from Wallace towards the end of the season. Pencil him in as the starter and draft someone.

You're drunk off of highlight reels.

The team shouldn't be giving a bunch of opportunities and money to someone who doesn't run routes well, doesn't catch well, doesn't seem to have a work ethic vs. a damn and frankly doesn't produce nearly as much big plays as people like to think. You can get gigged up over a highlight reel of what, 2010? That's not the reality of anything he's going to produce here, that's not the reality of what he was going to produce in Pittsburgh without Bruce Arians selling out to get him there, and that's probably not a reality of anything he's going to do maybe outside of a couple of places in the league.

Thats all great, but you're drunk if you wanna give up the guy we already have, pay someone else to take him, take the cap hit, and have ZERO plan for replacement measures. Thats insane.

Hartline clone? Decker has more touchdowns in one season than Hartline does for his career. He's by far a much better red zone threat. I wish Hartline was a Decker clone.

Per Armando Salguero, The Dolphins have spoken to NO ONE about trading WR Mike Wallace -- not at the NFL owners annual meeting, not before the annual meeting, not at all. Move on.

No, it's not. The cap ramifications are not necessarily what they seem, and there's room to adjust if Wallace is willing to play ball.

Replacing what Mike Wallace did last season isn't really all that difficult.
