Should compete for #3. Not real tall (barely 6'1). Great release but not as much zip as his big brother. Developmental.

Perfect kind of developmental QB if you ask me. I like these kind of signings.

Extra arm for camp, most likely.

EDIT: Upon further review...he was with Tampa up until two months ago. Hickey guy?

Best case, he competes with Delvin for #3. Despite the bloodlines, he's all project. Not opposed though, never know when one of these guys makes it (Romo, Warner, ect)

He sure moves well. His highlights were fun to watch at least.

He's a decent camp arm. He played well at Vandy. It wasn't just who his brother was. He helped put the program back on the map. He was a big part of the program closing out the 2012 season with 7 straight wins including against the likes of Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Wake Forest and NC State. He also beat Missouri in 2012.

His 2012 season was probably the best passing season any quarterback has had at Vanderbilt since Jay Cutler's 2004-2005 seasons. Arguably more efficient than either of those seasons too.

He definitely needs to work on his arm strength but he's got a nice set of skills, wouldn't mind seeing him compete in preseason for that 3rd QB slot.

He can actually run. He wouldn't stay in one piece for long, though, with NFL linebackers and safeties being as fast as they are and hitting like they do.

Here's Jordan Rodgers dicing up the Gators in 2011. This was really before Rodgers hit his stride in 2012.

Jordan Rodgers took the JUCO route like his brother Aaron. He led Butte college to an undefeated record in 2008 and the JUCO National Championship title.

Hey...tell you what...the kids got nice footwork....he seems to always keep his body square. I dont think his arm is that weak either....some of those passes were very nice throws. Will be interesting to see him develop. He uses the shoulder fake alot....

I'm not convinced this has nothing to do with Moore being shipped and Devlin being moved up to #2.

That TD throw at 3:40 was ridiculous... Watching that video makes me miss college football..... 4 more months..

Some ill advised throws at coverage... but it is Florida you're going to be forced to take chances doesn't matter what the throw or who the quarterback is, most of the throws will look terrible against that defense.

I like the signing, I hope he works out well for us, I know he will be motivated especially with his brother being in this league.

Rogers is a tough lil sob, he can run the read option which is hopefully the reason why we signed him, hopefully that's a sign that Lazor is going to implement more of that offense for Tannehill, and we want that type of skillset to practice in camp..

Philbin can't be all that high on Devlin. He had a chance to make him Tannehill's backup and chose to spend $4 million a year on Matt Moore instead.

That was just insurance in case Pat 'Tony Romo' Devlin was injured. Can't be too careful nowadays.

I was kind of surprised that no one drafted him when he came out, I thought he played really good in college and his brother is pretty good...this signing can't hurt even if its just a camp arm its still good for the team. If he actually catches on as a prospect and he can challenge Moore or Devlin even better.

I mean Devlin has been here for three years, two under this coach, at some point you've got to trust your ability to develop players which helps your resources dept greatly, I think Ryan has shown durability, I don't think we're in a position to contend this year if he goes down, but it seems as though what's keeping Moore around is not so much his ability to win games if necessary, but to just be that four million dollar mentor, at some point you must pull the blankie away..

I at least would put some feelers out there to see if there is any value there?.. Apparently no one made an offer thus far, but you know how injuries happen.

anyone who thinks Matt Moore is the best back QB in the league doesn't know what they are talking about. Matt Moore is a average backup QB that looked better than he actually is when he was in an offense where he could just chuck it up to Brandon Marshall and BM would fight for the ball and win. In this offense, I doubt Moore is really any better than Devlin

Not sure about moving Moore. At least with Matt you know you have a competent back-up and he's something of a vet now. If Ryan gets injured (wouldn't surprise me unless the o-line improves, like 180 degrees) can we really rely on Pat Devlin or this Rodgers kid in a week 10-16 away game? Hold onto Moore until his contract is up.
