I bet that there are alot of people who don't know that he dropped 50 in a game, as a center!

Hoping we at least get a game. Frankly they dont deserve to be in the playoffs for the way they played 3/4ths of the year

Deserve has nothing to do with it. From a talent standpoint they are top 3-4 in the East...but all the variables (idiot coach) makes them underachievers.

    Punchers chance to win 2.

Eh, a healthy Bulls team has more talent. Rose and Melo is a draw and we have no one as good as Noah or Deng (when he was there). Thats one of the reasons they gave us fits. Plus this team is lazy and unmotivated for most of the year. That they even have a chance to make the playoffs tells you how much the east sucks.

As I said earlier, I am really looking at OKC to beat the Spurs and face Miami in the finals. In 2011 the Spurs came in hot and Memphis took them out. I like OKC against SA, and with an OKC win, I like a Miami 3-peat.

Indiana does NOT want the top seed in the East. They just don't have enough options to beat Miami without home court IMO.

Honestly what is it about the Barclay's Center that gives the Nets an edge over the visitor? Is it the lighting? The hardwood colors?

A few days late my man, those playoff hopes died in a last second loss to the Wizards.

They'll be done quick. You may as well go right to baseball.

My rental team is whoever is playing Miami and Portland (yes portland....I almost became a Blazers fan back in the day and in fact still have a Clyde Drexler dream team jersey). I cant really root for any team besides NYK nowadays, just players. So I do like to see Dirk and Steph Curry and KD do well though I dont think any of those teams except maybe GSW match up particularly well with Miami

although he wont get it plumlee should be considered for rook of the year. legit big man. he should get votes to place in top five, probably somewhere between 3 and 5. he needs to work on a mid range shot but his athleticism is sick for a guy his size [IMG]

Notice the blatant foul by JJ on the gather in the second gif. Then Plumlee actually gets him on the hand.

Full strength freight-train LeBron swats Mason Plumlee away with his dong.

by the way the rulebook does state under incidental contact

The hand is considered “part of the ball” when it is in contact with the ball. Therefore,
contact on that hand by a defender while it is in contact with the ball is not illegal

Not while in the act of shooting though. "Before the shooter releases the ball, any contact to the shooter’s hand, wrist or arm is illegal and a foul will be called."

he didn't release the ball, he went for the dunk. He wasn't shooting the ball

It is what it is. It's a foul.

That one was bad. But nowhere near as bad as the blatant goal tend Plumlee had a minute earlier on Bosh. The replay showed it was clearly on the way down. Worst of all, that is only reviewable if they call it a goal tend on the court, even inside two minutes.

Anyway, the Nets are good, but three 1 pt. losses and a 2 OT loss while the Heat miss an average of three players for three of the games, and missed 3 starters in one of the games, two in the other is one of those anomalies in sports.

In the playoffs, the Nets won't stand much of s chance because the Big Three will A) actually play. B) play at least 6 more minutes per game.

But it makes for fun conversation, and the NBA got what it wanted.

Frank Vogel whined and whined yesterday that he was going to rest everybody for that Heat game on Friday..and the NBA thought about it and wondered how can they make that game matter for their "broadcast partners". of course...a Heat win over BK would have killed that game. Now, they get their revenue bump.

Heat is gonna get killed tonight anyway, and personally I would forfeit the game, it is meaningless now. Friday's game is now for the #1 seed. Unless of course, the Pacers have yet more losses in them.

As for the overall game, Nets played well, Wade is essential to guarding their wing players, and too many cross matches hurt the Heat. Even then, they allowed less than 90, and had a "chance" to win.

Just saw the vid. It should've been called. There was a slap on the arm before he went up to dunk. Then, Plumlee pushed off with his left arm and then hit his wrist.

The Nets are the first team in NBA HISTORY to beat another 3 times in one season by 1 pt. each time.

They are also the first team in NBA History to beat another team 4 times, with a regulation pt. Diff. of +3.

They are however not the first to beat Miami 4 times in a season in the Big Three era.

Both Bulls and Celtics beat Miami 4 times in 10'-11'. The Celtics beat Miami 5 times in 12'-13' Pacers beat Miami 4 times in 12'-13'. 5 times in 13'-14'.

The real reason you guys lost last night wasn't getting robbed of free throws. Lebron went to the line as much as the whole Nets team combined. Its because you shot under 30 percent from 3 point land

    we do that often.

Anyway. The Heat are an attacking, Points in the Paint team. BK is a jump shooting team. There should be a FT disparity, and it should have been more severe. But I have no issue with the play/calls throughout. Calls are missed on both sides. Just the last two deciding no-brainer calls that bother me.

it is what it is. Two bad calls flipped what was a pretty good game. Heat have to get "whole" eventually vs. BK as well. Hopefully in the 2nd rd.
