One of the greatest. shows. ever. It's one of those shows that you wait five or ten years and indulge in a marathon all over again.

I agree. This is one of those rare shows that transcend their genre.

I resisted for years because it seemed like a Western, and I don't have much use for modern Westerns. But it really is something else.

I was like the people who won't watch something like BSG because "they don't like scifi;" some shows, once you get past the premise, make it so you don't even remember that they are in this or that genre while you're watching.

I am sorry that it isn't around anymore.

Always heard rave reviews about this series. Never got into it. Already had Sopranos and the Wire going on to really dig into this one.

It was a fantastic show. This series and ROME were two great HBO series that ended way to immaturely.

Show should have had a 8 season run at least. Criminal that the show was cancelled. Its good to see a lot of the cast in other shows and movies though. Some of the best dialogue in any show or movie ever.

I watched the first few episodes and loved it... However, the links on the site I watch TV on were all dead for the rest. Shame, I was really into it, despite having initial reservations (westerns).

Def. agree about Rome. Seriously one of the greatest shows ever and is so underappreciated. Halfway through the second season Heller was told about the shows cancellation and had to wrap it up by combining 3 seasons into one basically (2, 3, and 4) and we missed out on so much goodness. Not to mention, the epic 5th season, which might have been a massive hit, as the show would of have told the story of Jesus Christ... Imagine Pullo and Vorenus running around Jerusalem and hanging out with Jesus... I will never really forgive HBO for canceling this show. Every episode was massively entertaining.

Top 2 show for me (other being BSG).

People wrote it off because they thought it a western with too much cussing. Not realizing the depth and beauty of the dialogue.

And who can resist repeating Wu, calling Al "Swidgen!"

I loved Rome! Very disappointed by its short lived run.
I only watched Deadwood maybe 3 years ago. Great show. Was a bigger fan of BSG though. Might have something to do with my Dad looking a lot like a taller Adama, and that whole family dynamic...and if course all the awesomeness. ****, I gotta go watch that again now.
