the phrase tries to act black is not a negative to me.. your insinuating that I thought of negative stereotype that you described...I didn't, that's on you..
Wow this thread, seems like the locker room has spilled over into these forums! Black, White, Yellow, Green were all human being that love football - Can we stay on topic and stop the BS racial ****... Your letting WORDS effect you!
You guys know exactly Wtf he's talking about, and it's not racist at all, but it's you trying to make this into a problem. In your mind your pushing him into a corner....but your just trying to start an argument. Who the hell would want to play your silly games ? Seriously ? Yeah, and what is white to you deej ? What the hell is acting white... ? I guess everybody should have their panties in a bunch...causing a ruckus.
Well duh McFly...Culture... You guys sound like you've never had a friend that acted or looked different than you, or if you did, it was too awkward for you to acknowledge or address. Lets all start a few less internet wars and get outside Into the real world a bit.
Yup, definetly in need to get out into the real-world. Not only did you associate a common word with rednecks, your using the same old jeopardy reference my grandparents would in an attempt at humor. The word ruckus makes me think of a wu-tang clan song. Total hillbillies, I know.
Yeah I never get out in the real world. What is wrong with same old jeopardy reference? And BTW you deleted and changed your 1st response to me, why? Yeah, we know why.
Changed ? Or added to it.. lol... Please ....and so what about rednecks and ruckus now ? The jeopardy thing... Well I guess if you still find it funny that's all that matters. Ps.. I " changed" this post too. For the record... I post my initial responses and add to them often, I hope that's not too complicated for you to comprehend.
That should finally kill this awful thread I started...Burleson is long gone anyway. Thanks for your help. Your redneck word association skills and jeopardy zingers saved the day.
they missed the post where I said at times he tries to act black and white. Thanks for understanding dude.
The poser part had nothing to do with color, you really are misunderstanding and interpreting what I say incorrectly, him being a poser has everything to do with trying to get another deal out of some sucker team that will give it to him, I don't believe he's in it for the right reasons, he's got one foot in the door at NFL network, he knows it, but he's such a fake/poser that some sucker will obviously bite, he pretends to be a lot of things, pretends to be a leader, pretends to be better than he is, and pretends to be something he is not..
what about the culture though? A different friend? Sure. All people are different. Which makes the he doesn't act black thing look even dumber.
I'm literally asking what he defines as black culture. I'm sure it has nothing to do with NPHC organizations, HBCU's, or the Harlem Renaissance. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk
When I said that reference it was to paint a picture as to how a man who is black doesn't know who he is, therefore tries to be. Trying to act black on tv is imo someone who when around other African American tries to mimic their cultural mannerisms when in reality it's evident that it is forced.
I've witnessed Nate burleson trying to be a hip hop, trying to be smooth, trying to be a strong black man, dude Wouldn't last a second on the streets. Who the hell cares..lol..
