Some guy made a highlight video. I am finding it fun to watch.

As a bonus, here are all Ryan Tannehill's 24 touchdowns last season.

    4 thoughts:
    - that Clay TD vs San Diego was helluva play
    - Gibson was a big factor until he got hurt
    - Brent Grimes was worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY
    - Wonder how many TDs Tanny would have had if Keller and Gibson didn't have season ending injuries. dual TE threat would have been great. too bad Keller will never actually play for us.

One of my thoughts was, "Why is anyone stupid enough to block Cameron Wake with just a runningback or a back up tight end?"

I hope they continue to remain that stupid.
If Vernon and Jordan continue to blossom and add to the Starks-Odrick-Wake equation.....droool.

We have guys who can rush the passer individually though I'd like to see more coordination from our rushers in order to collapse the pocket. Yeah I'm nitpicking but sacks lead to punts while bad/off balance throws lead to INTs.

Gawd I hate it when they make a football video and put that rap crap as background noise. I won't and even cannot, in good conscious, call it music.

    Few thoughts:

    - Hartline's abilities after the catch are slightly improving...still not a game-breaker unfortunately.
    - Clay is beast.
    - Gibson/Matthews underrated.

Nice pace, nice music, well done!

There's a difference between not liking a genre and not acknowledging it as music. Implying rap isn't music is either wilfully ignoring, or not being aware of what music is and what context brought about rap as a genre.

If I brought up examples of bad rock/country artists, I'd get No True Scotsman'd to hell.

Well I won't speak for Mr Clean but it's not only rap. I don't consider "pop" music either, but for a different reason. Music is different things to different people. Some would argue that someone farting into a bucket while screaming emotional lyrics is music, others would disagree.

You can have your opinion on what music is but so can we. I'm not ignorant because I don't consider (most modern) rap to be music. To me it's more like rhyming with catchy hooks spoken over sounds created by keyboards/computers. Art? Yea. Music...not to me.

You are just redefining the word music to suit your specific taste. By misstating that fact your opinion becomes irrelevant.

Music is about making songs. IMO a song requires either humans playing actual musical instruments and/or someone actually singing. Honestly, there are some rap songs that are ok, but the majority of what I've heard is misogynistic sexist garbage. If it makes you feel any better I hate most heavy metal and whatever you call that noise that came from Ted Nugent. Hey, I like the theme song to Justified. Is that rap? :)

No matter what music they use on a football highlight video, I am likely going to mute it anyway. Not just rap.

Music has melody and rhythm. Rap has rhythm but no melody. Therefore, rap is poetry, some of it very good poetry, but not music.

Music doesn't have to be made by people playing instruments and/or singing. Music can be made electronically by sampling and mixing with computers. It has rhythm and melody, and is therefore music.

Saying rap isn't music is the equivelant of proclaiming the people who enjoy it aren't people! That's their ( & my ) music... Of course the instruments are going to be different. How can you choose a specific few to completely discount ? A synthesizer is no less an instrument than an accordion or anything else. Hating "most heavy metal" doesn't make up for that. That was pretty funny. I love all heavy metal first and foremost...and still take issue with this.

I don't like seafood, not one bit... It's just not for me, but it's obviously an edible food.

You lost me pretty quick... no melody whatsoever ? Some rap songs have little melody, some music has little to no rhythm. Do you think a dude blowing a bagpipe, or a solo pianist is music ? I do... Good stuff too.

It's a matter of personal opinion just as art is. Anything can be considered "art". Music is a form of art. There really is no right or wrong here.

It's a good song, and whether the individual likes it or not is all that matters really. I'm not a fan of country music at all, and only like some rap, but I love that song and consider it a mix of both. I reckon we all have a predisposition to the music we prefer, but if good examples of other genres make us prick up our ears then all the better.

I'd put them both in the same class! Neither one hold a candle to the finals in the North Texas Hog calling contest! I know there are those who like both (inexplicably, to me!) and there are some who think that Led Zeppelin or Metallica are the harbingers of the end times.. one's taste in music, however, does not lead to serious talk about football - just sniping at each other!

Percussion alone is music to me. Can't agree more that these video makers usually **** it up with their songs. I'll never forget a Ronnie brown highlight vid when we were scouting him tho... Perfect

That is music! Emotion poured out with melodies and harmonies using their voices as instruments. IMO it's just so much more respectable than rhyming faddish lyrics into a microphone as fast as you can with borrowed samples, auto tune, and pre-recorded drum beats.

The style of delivery Is what makes a rap artist truly a talented artist, a Kendrick Lamar is just brilliant, the tone, the different rhythmic patterns of the delivery is awesome..

Check out a song called car radio by 21 pilots, that's something different and very cool..loops of minor chords, piano, great drumming, a bit of electronics, and the best part some beautiful screams..completely original.

I've read the group that does it is considered a mix of rap and blue grass. I think they made it through without referring to women as btches or hoes, or using the N word or it's derivative of the N word ending in ah rather than er.

That's a great Ronnie Brown video. I remember it back when he was a prospect. So great.

Music with a video is great - if it's great music. Most of the time I do have to turn the volume off on videos though.

    Back to the Dolphins highlights:

One player really sticks out: Charles Clay. Is he not the best offensive player we have? If he were in Dallas or Seattle or New England - he'd be considered a budding superstar by the national media. But, he has become a really potent weapon. Hopefully Lazor can utilize him. If we can shore up the OL a bit more and add another big weapon (WR or TE) via the draft to go along with the current core - I think we can have the makings of a solid offense. Just have to use the weapons well.

This is the ignorance I was referring to. Rap is absolutely much more diverse and what you've apparently listened to is a small and very recent phenomenon. I just don't see how you can judge an entire genre that you clearly know little about.

I grew up insulated from a lot of genres because of where I live. I never really cared for rock and such but I always knew it was cultural and not an objective dislike. I do like Pink Floyd, Quiet Riot, and some other acts but I don't 'get' rock. I haven't listened to much and I certainly don't blame the entire genre.

I'm sorry that a musical genre borne of a common cultural, socioeconomic, and ultimately racially divided (on the aggregate) experience doesn't appeal to you, but that's on you, not rap.

Radio songs are dominated by what sells the most, not sounds the best. Taylor Swift is probably the most popular artist classified as a country singer right now. Does that mean that Garth Brooks is invalidated?
