Give us a Rb who can get the tough yards.a TE who can do it all. Two athletic guards, one of which could play multiple positions. A plug in player at ILB. And a couple solid depth players who can turn into studs. I would be so happy w/ this draft, all we would need is a RT, maybe.

He'd probably be Russell Wilson if he had a better arm. You're right it's sneaky good but it's not great. He's got some damn fine speed too.

Connor Shaw is one of those guys I'll go out of my way to see play in preseason just because he's fun to watch and I want to see more.

Having seen just about every South Carolina game over the last 2 years, I do like watching Shaw but he's obviously got a long ways to go before he can even backup in the pros. I don't even think they took a single snap on offense that wasn't in the shotgun formation, they were even in the shotgun on 4th and inches which drove me nuts. He's a fun prospect but I don't see him developing into a starter because of his size and arm strength but I wouldn't count him out, the strides he took from last year to this year give me some hope he can make it. Last year I wouldn't have thought he was worth even drafting but he showed some better accuracy and his arm looked more lively this year. I don't know, he got dinged up seemingly every week and he seemed to run anytime there was pressure so he has some work to do for sure. But I agree, I'll watch him in the preseason. It may sound obvious but I think Seattle would be wise to take him late.
The player from South Carolina I'd like to see in Miami is Bruce Ellington, he's very under rated. He was the only option on that team on 3rd and 4th and long and made spectacular catches every week. He's going to be one of the steals of the draft for whoever takes him. He'll out produce some of these guys people are talking about taking in the 1st-3rd rounds in the long run.

Perfect world, all four QBs go ahead of us. Teddy, Johnny, Bortles and Carr. You know Clowney will go early as well. There are a few other no brainer early picks. Plus you know a team or two will reach.

I li ke where we are and think a good talent will slip.

I agree, this spot is tough using the simulator. There are usually 3 or 4 guys I'd love to have that are there and its hard to decide. The obvious pick is OLine even though we signed Albert, but when there is a starting caliber CB, LB or a big time skill position player its tough to pick. If 4 Qbs go before us we could be sitting pretty for a trade down too. Someone might want to trade up to get a guy like Carr if he's there too. Then again I could see 1 or 2 Qbs having a freefall in the draft like Aaron Rodgers too.

Took a risk on Mason in round 3 (But I think he's worth it regardless of who we have right now). That hurt me on some OTs that were available that all were gone by round 4. I am projecting Thomas to OG.

I'd be very happy with this scenerio. Hyde will almost certainly go in round 2 though. I took Stork with the plan of playing him at G, but that he could fill in at C if Pouncy is unavailable.

Damn I kind of like this one.

R1: WR Brandin Cooks, Oregon State
    R2: LB Shayne Skov, Stanford
    R3: RB Lache Seastrunk, Baylor
    R4: C Marcus Martin, USC
R5: OT Cornelius Lucas, Kansas State
    R6: DE Ben Gardner, Stanford
R7: FS Alden Darby, Arizona State

Really worked out to where I could continue taking BPAs while still nailing positions of need.

    1. Between Brandin Cooks, Mike Wallace and Lache Seastrunk you'd have a set of the fastest, most explosive skill position players in football. That has to be worth something, especially with an offensive coordinator who just helped his QBs use the combo of LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson to such great effect a year ago.

    2. Marcus Martin is a slam dunk as a Center but he's also got the whole package between his size, agility, anchor and especially hands to play at guard. He does two things for you. He immediately gives you a guard that you can have compete with Brenner and Garner to play along with Shelley Smith. The second thing he does is give you leverage in your negotiations with Mike Pouncey. He would keep the heat on Pouncey to perform. It's Pouncey's contract year and if he wants that contract he needs to perform for it. He's not going to get it by default if Marcus Martin is on roster.

    3. Cornelius Lucas could be a slam dunk right tackle and I think he could play immediately. He would compete with Jason Fox for the duty but I believe he'll win.

    4. You may consider Shayne Skov a two-down player but he's a perfect two-down player for what we need which is to stop the damn running game, putting our defense in position to succeed on third down, and not allowing teams to run away with victories in the 4th quarter. He's an attacking linebacker which is what Coyle wants. I won't claim I love the idea of Ellerbe and Wheeler continuing to be the guys in nickel, but at least with Skov in the middle, Ellerbe at Will and Wheeler at Sam, you'd be making a REAL go of making those two acquisitions work by actually putting the players in positions where they may succeed best.

    5. Ben Gardner is like a poor man's Aaron Donald. He's got that kind of explosiveness and ability to rush the passer from the interior even though he often played an unselfish role at Stanford taking up multiple blockers on slants so that others like Trent Murphy could loop free on stunts and sack the quarterback. He'd be great for Coyle's defense and I wouldn't be surprised to see him play sooner rather than later.

    6. Finally there's Alden Darby. He's not your classic centerfielder but that's not what Miami wants. Miami wants an aggressive, smart and instinctive player that will run the alley hard and fast against the run and jump into the passing lanes against the pass. That's what Darby does. He's the most instinctive safety in the draft when it comes to recognizing the quarterback's intentions early and getting a jump. He reminds me of Jairus Byrd.

The only downside to this draft is it might not be realistic. Marcus Martin almost surely will not be available in the 4th round and so it's cheating a bit for me to take him. Cornelius Lucas is iffy to be available in the 5th round, but it's possible. Other guys like Ben Gardner and Alden Darby are right on the cusp in terms of being available where I took them.

Used Walter's. Like this one the best so far.

    1.19 DT AARON DONALD PITTSBURGH
    2.50 OT JOEL BITONIO NEVADA
3.81 OT BILLY TURNER NORTH DAKOTA STATE
    4.116 ILB SHAYNE SKOV STANFORD
    5.155 RB DE'ANTHONY THOMAS OREGON
    6.190 WR DEVIN STREET PITTSBURGH
    7.234 TE COLT LYERLA OREGON

Could not bypass Aaron Donald in round 1 - just a great football player. Would probably move Bitonio to OG (he's played there before) but needs some strength. Admittidly both OL prospects are projects but I would hope one could crack the lineup or provide good competition. But, rounds 4-7 excite me the most. Feel like I got steals in each of those rounds.

Skov in the 4th? Don't mind if I do! He can plug the run.

Thomas will basically compete with Thigpen for fourth RB, KR/PR and can do some interesting things on offense. Surprised at how explosive he was on the field at Oregon but then, not so much in his workouts. Nevertheless, he did anchor a great 4x100 relay team and so he has the athleticism and running ability. I'd take Thomas in the 5th every single time. I think he'll beat out Thiggy and could become a solid 3rd down back if he gets some strength and blocking skills.

Street needs some strength and toughness. But, has good hands and at 6'3 with a 37 inch vert - he could turn into a good red zone threat. Project.

Lyerla in the 7th? If I hadn't been so focused on WR in the 6th I'd have taken him then. But, lucked out. I don't think you could find a 7th rounder with that level of talent upside. Obviously problems, but man. A beast for his size; didn't shy away from contact in his Jr year and has phenomenal athleticism - 4.60 40; 39 vert. But also like his physicality and desire to block. If he keeps his head on, he's a contributor his rookie year, imo. He has the talent to be a long-term NFL TE. He and Clay could be a great set of TE weapons.

Interior power/strength on the front end and speed and explosiveness on the back end. I would walk home with this draft and be happy. Only Q-marks for me are the OL choices but I think at least one will make it as a starter and, once you get past the 1st, OL is always up for grabs as far as landing starters.

Even though I didn't get a dominant player like Aaron Donald in the last one, I like this as much or more. Of course, doubt all these guys will last but still, I think this would be great.

Did the trade down with the Browns in exchange for #26 and their first pick in the 4th round. I'd take that every day unless someone fell into our laps at #19.

I know su'a-filo is not a sure thing, but I think he'd start right away. Best chance for a 'plug and play OG' in the draft, imo. I like his solid play. I don't think he

Niklas is solid, imo - great size; will be a great all around player. I like the potential here.

Moncrief is the most questionable, imo, could bust but has some real upside at only 21 yrs old.

Seastrunk - everyone knows his potential already.

Richardson - can be a beast - huge and strong but would need to move to RT. He may take some time but I like him a lot in round 4.

Brown and Bullough - I think both of these could compete at MLB and love what both can bring to Miami in run stopping ability. Bullough is just a rugged tough player and I think both could play on the inside together eventually.

Campanero - is one of those Welker / Edelmen clones. Quick (but faster than Welker - ran a 4.4). All-time Wake Forest Reception leader. I think he'd play special teams and would also make it as a WR. Don't think he'll actually last til the 7th.
