No guarantee the Nets get past Toronto anyway.

But who cares? Heat are PP and Garnett's daddies in the playoffs in the Big 3 era. And that was with Rondo, Ray Allen, and a championship coach.

The Nets have a guy who can't even be bothered to wear a tie.

lol. man i love kidd. he rests all five starters plus some key bench players. how sick is our bench that we're playing 2nd and 3rd stringers and we're down only two at halftime? with washington beating the celtics we have a good shot at grabbing that sixth seed and setting sights on ol miami via toronto. hey kidd, time to bench the 2nd stringers now, they're playing too well lol

Ended up losing by 29 pts. to a collection of D-Leaguers.

You really should wait till the end of games to talk up your team.

Wearing a tie is overrated. Does Bill belichick wear a tie? He dresses more like Trayvon Martin with his hoodies then like an NFL coach if one didnt know any better. Id say hes pretty darn good. Either ya got it or ya dont. Im not saying Kidds got it as a coach but his clothes arent going to be what makes or breaks him.

The triangle needs bigs that can pass. He wasnt signed to start. He was signed because he knows the offense and to play 10-15 minutes a night if hes able

That ESPN Computer Model actually nailed it's ridiculous prediction by predicting the Knicks likely 3 pt. dropoff.

They predicted 37 wins...and the Knicks got 37 wins. A lot of luck..but their method was pretty sound.

That "crap" nailed NY's exact win total, and I think went like 26-4 on totals.

They put up another good number, then I'll buy in. Being a career gambler I have seen my fair share of fly by night systems.

    Statistical Profile for NBA Champion:

    Comparables from 1997 to Present:

    1. Spurs *OFF/*DEF/+DRR/*Pt. DIFF
    2. Thunder *OFF/+DEF/+DRR/*Pt. DIFF
    3. Clippers *OFF/+DEF/-DRR/+Pt. DIFF
    4. Heat *OFF/+DEF/-DRR/*Pt. DIFF

Only these four fit the profile, and in that order.

I am stunned to see the clippers on that list. Apparently they haven't seen a clipper playoff game. Get them out of round 1 before we talk about them as championship caliber. I'm not even sure if they will beat a healthy GSW team....

GSW is a team that should scare anyone at least a little bit. If they go red hot from the land of 3 they are a danger to anyone

Coaches in the NFL aren't allowed to wear suits. They are required to wear the team shirts that can then be sold as "Sideline Apparel".

And obviously the clothes don't matter. It was a joke.

But I do think the Biz Cas look needs to be earned. Pop can do it. J-Kidd has earned nothing.

Those are the same four I have in my potential champion list although my order would be Spurs, Heat, OKC, Clippers.

Mostly due to their overall record and insane Offensive Eff. number since March 1, and the Heat with their Restapalooza.

If you toss all the Resting, and games off/out for the Heat, they overtake OKC in 2nd.

What shocked me was that there were only 4 teams that met the Statistical profile of a Champion. Last year there were 5. (Knicks were ONE of them!) Year before 6, in 10' ...6.

    You posted 7 categories.

The Heat is better than Houston in 5 of them. Houston is better in 1. Tied in 1. (You put Reb. rate which is irrelevant. Def. Reb. rate is what matters. Houston is 20th, Miami is 24th.)

So..to recap...in the 7 categories you posted...Miami is better in 5 of them, Houston is better in 1. The records are the same.

    Now...for CONTEXT.

Heat missed 67 games from Starters. Their second best player missed 28 games. They played 22 different starting lineups due to injury. Yet still have a better statistical profile than the Rockets. Why?

Yeah for heat fans. Houston is a very good match up for Miami. Houston is a nice team but they play no defense especially at the guards. I'd want them (or frankly anyone) to beat Miami but being real, Miami would be done with them in 5. Of course, that's what you want..... :)
