Good thing I got home in time. I've been wanting Dri for a while, and I thought he was going to be gone in the third.
Then it is a good thing I selected him. With that said, I'm wondering if I should put Thigpen on the block now.
Which block? The corner of East and Main looks like a good one. He can't **** up anymore if he's not on the team.
I know it's a ways off, but if someone is looking to trade up to pick 125 (I think that's my pick) I'd let it go for a decent CB.
McCullers would have been my pick at #100 so I got pretty lucky. He definitely needs to improve in certain respects before being counted on, but with my great defensive line depth his ceiling was too high to pass on. I wanted to be able to integrate some 3-4 looks but was desperately lacking a space eater in the middle, he can also play in the 4-3 though he will never be a strong pass rusher.
So I watched Draft Day the other day, yep it's pretty much the GML with some of the trades that happen.
I'm in no hurry to see this movie. I'm surprised Costner would put his name on it if it does indeed suck though.
It's unrealistic with too much unnecessary drama, with a lack of focus on specifics that would have made for a tighter film. What would you expect with a film about the Browns.
I think I've been prioritizing defense too much... 6/7 picks have been on defense and 3/6 for the secondary.... Still have 11 to go.
He was one of my two must have players of the draft (based on my picks). If he weighed 20 pounds more he would be a first rounder IMO. Lots of potential and a good pick up for you. McCullers was the other so 1-2 isnt bad.
Wow, knock on wood, but it looks like I can cover up all my team's weaknesses by the end of the draft.
Im looking to move up from #128 in the 4th to one of the next picks. Could include either my last 5th rounder or a player like Daniel Thomas.
Really liked the Purifoy and Bailey combo. If I hadn't needed a RB, Bailey was pretty high on my list. As was Deone Bucannon in round two, but I needed an OT.
Really like the Logan Thomas pick. A more qb friendly offense and better pocket discipline and he could be a good qb
There's definitely still someone out there that's worth a late 2nd/early 3rd round pick. Hopefully he isn't picked by Baltimore, and I snag him up.
I completely agree 100%. I honestly don't know what everyone sees in him. He tested well which isn't shocking but look at actual game tape.
Maybe a high ceiling. Truth be told, this point of the draft isn't exactly a place where you find bona fide starting QBs.
I agree with you when you say you don't find bona fide QB's here. However I think there are better QB's on board and I don't really see the upside.
Like I said, maybe. I'm not too familiar with him myself. For all I know, he could dealing with a crap supporting cast, or not. With that said, he's apparently mentally sound as a player and has a great work ethic, so why not?
We all have opinions and different grades on different players. I just don't think he will be much at the NFL level.
And you could be right. I'm not exactly expecting him to become the next great all-pro QB, either. But... weirder things have happened.
