I've been a Heat fan since I understood basketball. Hardaway is the guy I remember most as a kid.

I played basketball with Tim Hardaway once at the ****ty walmart in greenacres Florida. He showed up in a black mercedez with a driver, wearing black leather gloves (the driver, not Oj Hardaway) This was maybe 4 months before his "I hate gay people" banter on the LeBatard show.

That's actually not a horrible deal for the Knicks if you're going to lose Carmelo anyway. I'd be pounding the table for Jimmy Butler (who is kind of irrelevant with Melo there), but it could work.

Only problem is you're once again pinning all hope on free agency and that didn't work out well the last time. This is especially the case if you trade Melo and will clearly be pretty bad next year. It's very tough to recruit without a star already in place.

If the Heat had just had zero players, I don't think they would've gotten all 3. The fact that Wade had been here, could vouch for the organization, etc., was huge
