NFL Analyst Mock Draft Dolphins at 19 - Rich Eisen picks Kouandjio o_0 And there was still plenty of talent on the board. Nothing against Kouandjio but I don't see how the Dolphins, having reached for someone on the OL, could or would choose anyone who has injury issues etc. and won't at the very least be a guaranteed available starter for 16 games. Having watched all the picks up to then it I was surprised by the lack of feedback or commentary on this pick. Most of the time was taken up by snide remarks about the Martin-Incognito issue. Honestly felt as though none of them cared or had a clue.
Shure we need O-Line help but how in the world can Eisen pick Kouandjio with Mosley and Barr still on the board? At the very next two picks Davis and Jeremiah easily picks Barr and Mosley with a smile on their face.
Exactly. I honestly don't think Eisen (or anyone else, it appears) cared and/or were interested in the Dolphins. "Give em an o-line player and let's move on". Of course, there's no law to say they should care, but as analysts they dropped the ball IMO. Line backer scenario wasn't brought up. Branden Albert wasn't mentioned. Nothing. It was just - 'The Dolphins have OL issues - stick this guy on there.'
It's funny, I don't have any favorites this year. As long as we get someone at a position of need. But that is the one guy I would be upset about.
NFL network did a round table mock with a bunch of their analysts, rich eisen had our pick and chose Cyrus, the format for which they did it did not allow trade downs. If hickey takes a 2nd tier tackle without trading down then you can worry.
Cyrus is still a likely possibillity...I for one have already assumed hes going to be the pick and will be pleasantly surprised if he isn't. Its easier this way.
LOL. Totally. However, I'd be disappointed in Mosley as well. I still don't get the obsessed love for him. He's a good player but not a first rounder unless you reach out of desperation for an ILB. The reality is all those guys on NFLN and ESPN are so shallow. A) they focus almost solely on round 1; B) they give too much hype to players who are not great because they play at a certain position; C) they are simply pretty shallow in their analysis. I think very few if any of those guys look at film. They just look at highlights and go with the rankings. You could pick 10 fans off the street and likely do better.
Are we talking about a different mock than the one I linked to in the OP? I can't tell if Dirtywhiteboy is referring to a second ESPN mock or the same one I posted above.
Sorry, I was replying to post #4 without quoting it. Phinishline cleared things up by properly quoting gunn34's post.
Sorry....I just assumed it was ESPN. They have been so horrible lately. This NFLN draft was a joke too. Galant said it right...it's just easier to say their O-line sucked, so pick this guy without researching it.
