Not sure what Mallett has done to be worthy of the #33 pick. He was drafted at #74, has completed one of four regular season passes and generally struggled every preseason despite working in a very pass friendly offense. Giving up the #33 pick for him would be moronic.
If we take a lineman at 19....what kind of career would they need to have...to warrant taking them there. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
If it's for #33 there should be an investigation, but the question would be "investigated by whom?" Y'know, since kraft has goodell in his back pocket.
Mallett was a 1st rd talent and has done nothing to change that, he has 3 yr experience in Texans system, he will be their starter and best qb on the roster, and best qb they can get this year in draft or otherwise for what they want to do. #33 is justifies and the least Pats should get.
It's the Belichick curse if he touches it and the draft is involved he always wins picks. He can trade a turd and get a free pick from any team at any given time.
Well, some people here thought he was a first round talent, but that didn't make it so. No one in the QB-hungry NFL thought he was a first rounder. Or a second rounder. He's done nothing in actual real NFL games, which is understandable with Brady in front of him, but he's looked pretty bad in the preseason. A fair amount worse than Pat Devlin, who was undrafted and playing in a much less QB friendly environment. He may or may not be the Texans starter, as Keenum looked better in real NFL games than Mallett has in fake (preseason) games. And there will likely be better QBs available in this draft and are better QBs available by trade. If the Texans want him that's fine, but the notion that he has improved his stock from the 3rd round status he had a few years ago is nonsense.
A buddy of mine from Arkansas thought Mallet was as sharp as a marble. Not known for being bright. I was surprised Bellichek drafted him.
But it seems to me you have just as good a shot at landing that type of player later in the draft. I guess Id rather seem them go after someome like Odell Beckham or Ebron. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Not thrilled with taking second or third rate linemen in the first, but a trade down will make it much more palatable. Good to hear we are active on that front, and depending on who drops QB/WR wise we might be able to get a good deal.
They wont be around with our pick in round 2. I like Moses over James. I think Moses can slide to LT once Albert is gone.
mayock knows somethin...he's adamant that jerry will select manziel if he drops. he would have to eat alot of guranteed money but man would he rock that city.
trent dilfer says zack martin will go to more probowls than any other lineman in the draft. ill say jake matthews
Wow, just showed Manziel outside the theater holding his hands up and rubbing his fingers together meaning "money." He has potential to have huge issues off the field regardless of his talent. I really think Tanny has demonstrated a ton of maturity and class.
ive seen the inside of three grown mens mouth already.. really dont like evans personality.he's a kid though
Is there a stream that you don't have to have cable for that's not from firstrow? I feel like they've always just had it free on nfl.com in the past but it looks like you have to have it with a cable package now.
