You guys are weak...you complain that we pick so and so but would have complained just as much had we not drafted so and so. Checking back out...regret checking in
The same way they have been trying to win that last 7 years... Funny you can't see the broken pattern that always leads to us being 7-9 and 8-8. We ALWAYS reach for a need and pass on better talent.
More nonsense from you. The Bills game lose was not on him. The Jets lose was on him. Lets give up on the qb because he lost a game in his second year.
OL looked flat out confused, that goes to coaching, it was not a lack of talent, it was coaching and scheme, to then double down on idiocy, well, "Coach Joe" had best hope it pans out
My silver lining is that I really do like the player. The slot he was taken at bothers me, but at the end of the day we have a starting quality RT now and that is huge. The offensive line could actually be a strength next season.
Gotta give up a #1 for a RT, we did not need a Wr per se, with the flame out of our young Cb's last yr, and Carroll leaving, this makes little sense
I can't even take this. The Saints just get it. Apparently we still don't. Our pick was the worst pick in round 1 so far. More blocking for our mediocre skill players......yay!
Awful. Saints trade up and give away a 3rd, when we pick a guy who CLEARLY would have been there at 27. Just awful GMing. Yes we have our bookends, but that's not how you play this game.
Both losses were on him. They couldn't score, he is the leader of an offense that couldn't score. I agree he was sacked and hit a lot. It showed his inability to feel pressure and move in the pocket or run. Lets also remember he missed a lot even when he had time.
C'mon. Someone has to put them into a position to make those plays. It's the ultimate team sport. The team is only good as the sum of it's pieces. We had an OL which got it's QB sacked more than any other QB in the whole freakin' league. It amazes me that people are surprised or really angry we took an Olinemen. It was expected by just about anyone in anyway related to sports. It would be irresponsible to not address the OL early. There still picks to get some playmakes or whatever. I hope we can get RB Andre Williams in the third. I think he can be a playmaker.
Aaaand we have the lowest graded player of all picks so far. What that means, I dunno. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/track...river#dt-by-round-input:1/dt-tabs:dt-by-round
Personally believe we could get a 2nd rd lineman pretty close to James. So IMO WR was the way to go if a trade couldn't get worked out. Hickey played it too safe.
Eh, was and wasn't, yes it needed upgrading, no it did require to reach for a RT, who fits the scheme, he was overdrafted to fit the scheme. Poor allocation of resources, we could use a #3 Cb, yet our underperforming Taylor/Davis now has to be relied on..but hey, we got a RT
If you look at 2013 we weren't winning bc the OL couldn't block anyone. The worst part is that even casual observers know that OL was the problem and yet so many seem disappointed that we took a RT. I understand that "skill positions" are more exciting but 5 OTs in the top 19, 3 on the top 4 last season. Best OT was a no brainer IMO.
There was no way Hickey could have done anything but take the best right tackle available after the damn Cowboys took Martin. No way. Anything else would have been general managing malpractice. The need for a right tackle was that great.
It's a good pick IMO, just a big reach. I think he'll be good and if he's really good, the reach won't matter at all.
Nonsense, to be blunt, a weak RT who is mobile drafted purely to fit scheme, and paid to heavily for, and it makes little sense to do so, and yet, here Dolfans are again. Best hope is Jordan blows up along with Taylor and Davis
He couldn't have traded down and down that and managed his assets better? Think he could and SHOULD have done that .
I give up. @ArmandoSalguero: Hickey says Dolphins got a couple of calls for their pick but decided to stay. "Always targetting Ja'Wuan at our pick." Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
