Like I know there's a skid mark in your undies...I know our 3rd rd graded RT would have been there at 27. KNOW.

Pouncey Keep smoking your weed and letting players get two yards in our back field at that snap and what's Philbin going to do? Stay as far away from the locker room as possible. I'm getting a sick feeling that a house cleaning is coming, one year too late :(

So either our GM is incompetent and a liar or he really, really like James.

Sometimes fans over think this "value" thing in the draft. If you like a player and you don't even have anyone on your roster in his position then you need to pick him BPA or not.

If James turns out to be a solid starter then no one is going to give a flying **** if he was drafted at 19 or 39.

The rest of the league took 3 OTs in the top 4 last year and what, 4 in the top 15 this year? Get a QB, protect him, an sack the other guy's QB. It's pretty simple.

It was there, he told Mando he had a several offers. So whether it was the Saints or another team, you have to trade down and take someone else's 1st rounder and extra picks

We had no right tackle. NO right tackle. We had two seasons of Columbo and Clabo. Our quarterback got sacked 58 times. We couldn't get a yard on the ground. And there's complaints because we reached to take the best right tackle remaining?

Last year when we moved up to get DJ I was so pumped.. Not that DJ wont be great but last year wasn't what I expected. If Ju' Wuan starts and is solid I'm happy.

He obviously wanted to entertain a trade back b/c he was fielding calls. He simply panicked. It was probably the Saints who then called Zona after us when we wouldn't pull the trigger. That means Hickey got too scared to trade back to friggin' 27 even though a more coveted tackle of the left side variety [Moses] is still on the board to go before James.

Yeah, he had a very nice YouTube highlight tape for fans to see so I'm not surprised that a lot of people feel that way.

Well, Hickey has rounds 2 & 3 to redeem himself with Seferian Jenkins and Robert Herron. That would put a smile on my face.

Seems pretty obvious that the offers were for a swap of 1sts and a 3rd.

    LOL.

Everyone on the board should have some of what he is on, this place would be a lot better then.

Yes, because James went too high. OR in other words he was merely the best RT remaining. Put that on his resume.

It's not about highlights though. You look at what he could do for the team. He can catch the ball underneath and take it the distance, he can get open in 2 seconds so Tannehill doesn't have to hold the ball so long.

Also it's easier to find a RT that can come in and start in round 2 than a WR that can do what Cooks does in round 2..

If he REALLY REALLY liked James and WANTED him at 19 all along, he WOULDN'T have fielded trade calls, nor taken the full clock to make the pick. Even Hickey was concerned with the value, otherwise he wouldn't have taken the time to field calls for the pick, multiple calls at that. At the end of the day he just said "F*** it". Common sense man.

A right tackle can play left tackle in the NFL. Remember Tyron Smith.

Are all team's fans as football dumb as ours or is it a team specific thing?

Panicked , gun shy , waffled , whatever , not a good sign and definitely not managing assets like he could/should have , imo. Went through that for years , is that continuing?

I sure as heck hope not and will see what transpires of course , but anyone that is truly enthused by that move is pretty easily pleased and likely ok with mediocrity.

I agree. Everybody could use a dose of reality. That's all I'm on. Were no closer to the playoffs now than we were before our pick. Isn't that the goal?

I'd rather have James and a 3rd. Time to focus on our next pick.

If you think our pick was bad, Chiefs pick is worse.

Eric Winston is still a free agent dude. Worst case scenario we could've signed him the moment James got drafted before we could trade up our 2nd for him or if he didn't last until our trade back of the 1st.

I feel like you aren't watching the same team that I have been watching not evolve at all since Marino left.

RT could have been addressed later. Cooks is an elite talent.
