Anyone care to throw a guess at our pick #50? I would like to see a good TE. Jace Amaro Big wish list I know.
I don't think he'll be available but Bitonio is another OL starter I'd like to have. Other than that, I'd like to see us get a good receiving TE. Niklas, Amaro, ASF are all options.
Either stay at 50 and take Trai Turner who started all 13 games at right guard last season at LSU or move up and get Xavier Su'a Filo. Let's finish the offensive line and not have to worry about it for the next 4-5 years. Protect Tannehill.
Probably a guard that could be had in the 4th-5th round, 'cause you know...that's how we roll. Sorry, couldn't resist. I'd be happy with Bitonio, Borland or Lee. But, I doubt any will be there at #50. Trai Turner seems more likely.
I think we go WR or RB with this next pick. We can go BPA after getting a quality tackle in the first.
I think one of the top priorities for Hickey and the coaching staff is to improve the running game, so I'm betting on Tre Mason if he makes it to 50. If not, it'll be BPA between WR, TE LB and OG, probably one of Robinson, ASJ, Niklas, Borland, Van Noy, Bitonio or Martin
I'll go with the left field pick just to be different from you all. If he somehow slides............I'll take Hageman.
TE/WR/RB in the second would be fantastic. I really want Niklas, but I have the feeling he's going to get picked before Miami has the chance. Amaro would be nice consolation prize. I don't see Miami going guard unless one of good value drops. No RBs have been picked yet, and there's plenty of d-line value available right now with Tuitt, Hageman, Nix, Jernigan, and Ealy on the board. Not advocating we take those guys, just that they'll get picked and Miami will have good options at #50
WR - Lee, Robinson OG - Bitonio, Su'a Filo, Turner TE - ASJ, Amaro, Niklas RB - Mason, but I'd also love Seastrunk with a later pick LB - Borland, Brown or Skov later Based on the board, I'd guess one of the Gs followed by TE as the most likely, but if one of those WRs dropped they may be the BPA.
I really doubt that Bitonio makes it to 50, but if he did, he'd definitely be my pick. If Weston Richburg is there, I'd consider him too. Also doubt he makes it. Trai Turner would be my first choice if Bitonio and Richburg are gone. The next choice would be Marcus Martin for me.
I'm with you on Bitonio, Su'a-Filo, Lee and Robinson. Would also be good with Trai Turner and Jordan Matthews. It's not a need, but I'd have a pretty hard time passing on Hageman if he is there at 50. I'd prefer Bitonio or Su'a-Filo, but if they took Moses or Kouandjio at 50 to hedge their bets at RT and have the "loser" of the RT battle move in to guard, it would be an example of scared and hyper-conservative drafting, but strangely I could probably live with it.
I trust your elvauations Mr. C. I'm just not sure I can stomach another OLineman this early. ASJ or Tre Mason Please!
Lee or Robinson are my preferred picks, but if Bitonio is there at 50, that'd be too hard to pass. Bitonio would round up the complete overhaul of the o-line.
Thank you for the vote of confidence. I would be happy with a RB, but it has become such an undervalued position, I believe we can get a good one a little later. Maybe Freeman or West even in the 4th. Remember last year Andre Ellington was considered a 2nd-3rd rounder and the Cards stole him in the 6th. I couldn't believe Ireland passed on him to take Mike Gillislee. Wait a second, it was Ireland, yes I guess it was believable.
I'd be happy with WR (if it's a Lee or Robinson or a smaller slot type but not many of those at 2nd round grade level); or another OL that drops or a TE. But, I have a feeling it will be a Safety or CB (even while there's a guy on the board we could land). Just because that's not the direction I want to go. I like Lee and / or Robinson at WR at 50 - even Ellington is appealing. TE - if he's a pass catcher type (not a blocker). Also would like any of the O-linemen generally listed. I could see us going OLB like the kid from GT or an ILB (but think round 3-4 might be better for that). I could get behind a RB also - if he has some big play ability. Other than Wallace, not many big hitters on offense. We need some more firepower, imo.
as boring as that would be (and as stupidly as the main forum would react) I would love to see our Oline if he fell to us at 50. Moreno would be in for a very good year, so would Tannehill and I daresay even Wallace.
My second favorite option, I'm almost too scared to mention, considering the torches and pitchforks would come out to drive the heretic from the village, but what the heck, here goes. I'd very happy if we could get Weston Richburg at 50, install him at center and move Pouncey to guard. That would also make for an OL you could hang your hat on.
Would love Bittonio. I had him as my second or third possibility with our first, so yeah, would like to have him, but I really want ASJ next, though he'll probably be gone before we have the chance to get him.
