I am lost somewhat but are there any good tightends left ? I was expecting us to get a good running back and a good tightend .

As an Oregon Season ticket owner, Hell no! Dude is a wanna-be thug whiner, a malcontent on a National Championship contending team, got caught with drugs, and fell in the doghouse of a first year HC trying to live up to Chip Kelly.

    What's attractive about that?

I'd be okay with that. Other than Colt there isn't one really out there

I assume they're happy with Clay's emergence and to continue with the development of Dion Sims.

AC Leonard with an extra 5th maybe? We've had Blake Annen in too.

Resign Keller, hope Dion Sims shows something... look at tight end again next year... wished we addressed it this year but oh well..

There's no chance in hell we'd take Lyerla. Come on now.

Let me state ftr..if Colt had no issues off the field, strictly on the field ability and demeanor, he's the best prospect in the draft at the position.jmo

We're hardly set at tight end. Clay had ONE good season but he's not a red zone threat nor a seam threat, he's a boundary halfback that does most of his work on the perimeter. Whether he has another good year or not is a huge unknown. Dion Sims showed nothing last year.

Yeah, and if your aunt had a dick she'd be your uncle. :) Thing is, he does have those issues and they all need to be factored in, but even if he didn't he isn't better than Ebron.

Clay, Sims, and Egnew is fine. It's not ideal, but fine. If Keller has any interest in coming back thats cool. Has he said anything on the possibility?

That wasn't the context I framed, so the if still stands, and I would take his skillset over Ebrons if it just came down to skills..

Of course the off the field stuff matters if your doing it for real..

Pure talent, no one can touch colt.

What would make you think that? He's a move TE who can block fairly well and now has an OC who likes to utilize movable pieces.

If Hickey had drafted Ebron, ASJ, Amaro, or Niklas, it might be a different story, but then again it's a new GM and new OC, so last year's drafted TE isn't immune to anything and could just as well fall on the chopping block ahead of Egnew for all we know.

I guess if we don't draft a TE you have a point...you think we should gamble on Lyerla?

well I wish Keller would comeback or I would trade for one I don't see Egnew as a playmaker but that is my opinion . as for Clay he is ok but he isn't a star I could live with adding a veteran tightend so we can spend our last picks on runingbacks , safety and more olinemen.

Logan Thomas was a highly recruited Tight End and never wanted to be a QB in college. Maybe he would be interested in moving back to his natural position?
