It's obvious that Pouncy is an ahole, he may be suspended for last years bull**** and he still doesn't get it, no wonder the OL was a mess.

Really a stupid move. Pouncey's off the field life and interactions (from last year's support of Hernandez to the scandal to this) show him to be someone who just does not clue in socially. Nor does he represent the organization well. I will be happy when we get a new center who shows respect for the organization. Pouncey is very talented at his craft but he has shown little in the way of organizational leadership or representation of the Dolphin team and brand.

Regardless of performance I won't be shocked if he isn't resigned unless he makes some real changes.

“We talked with Mike and Mike understands that sometimes things can be taken out of context,” Hickey said, via ESPN.com. “What’s meant as a light-hearted comment can be taken out of context. We talked with Mike and he was good with that and understands social media is a great tool to reach our fans for the positive. But you have to make good choices with that.”

    It's like talking to a 12 year old..lol

I am really hoping Branden Albert checks this fool. I could see Juwuan James possibly doing it too. That is the only thing that will get this idiot in check. He doesn't respect these coaches and they don't seem to give a damn. It's gotta come from one of the big olinemen. He's got to be called out in front of the entire locker room. One of the players has to send a message.

yeah I wonder how he's gonna act with all the fresh blood around him, will he feel a sense of entitlement because of his seniority and continue to be a douchebag, or will he start over, I'm sure it will be something the coaches keep a very close eye on, if he doesn't start fresh and takes any type of attitude that he's the man, then there will be a problem.

since we decided to give this idiot more money and no punishment, I think the sense of entitlement is coming. Albert, being the highest paid, pro bowler, and elder statesman needs to check him. Or our big first round pick, James, may need to set the tone. One of the two need to get to him in training camp while the team is trying to bond. Hell, it would be nice to see Wake actually step up and be a leader/enforcer. That has been my only knock on him.

we should have brought in two more vet olinemen even if they are near the end just so we can have depth.

I will venture out on a limb and say two more of our picks today will be olinemen. I can see us drafting one more player there.

I would say that with him deleting his twitter account he is starting to understand his marching orders and is getting in line. I've been very frustrated with him because he has all the potential to be a great player and a great leader. He has really failed in the latter. I love his nastiness and tenacity. IF he can learn to focus that passion towards good, towards being a leader and towards making his team better, he could be invaluable. I'm hoping he can turn a new leaf.

You are all so sensitive lol who cares if hes immature. Hes one of the best centers in the league and as long as hes not beating his wife, committing murders or selling drugs, who cares if he supports his friend or jokes around. At the end of the day you all have no idea what goes on in an nfl locker room and how these guys perceive it. So what a bunch of middle age guys write some articles... Doesnt change how the team sees him

This has nothing to do with sensitivity. I'm getting tired of this being positioned as a macho issue.

This is a public perception issue. And, like it or not, those kinds of things are important. You'd think after last effing year and the season disrupting, game costing scandal over nothing, people like you and Pouncey would put on their thinking caps and big boy pants and realize this stuff matters because it can hurt the team.

It doesnt hurt the team... May hurt the perception of what outside people think but doesnt effect play. Our oline didnt play ****ty cause of bullying last year, they played ****ty because of the lack of talent...if guys cant play their best because some guy whove they never met, wrote some mean article on them, well then they most likely shouldnt be playing a game thats main goal is physical dominance because they are too sensative to be in the nfl.

    This is ridiculous.

It absolutely hurt the team. You think we come out flat and lose to Tampa if the scandal hadn't of broke?

You live in a dream world.

It does hurt the team and if he doesn't foster a positive attitude among the rest of the O-linemen it will create a culture that does not foster harmony on the OL and all the great OLs have that. The reality is, Miami has taken a hit - not just in the eyes of the media but players as well and Pouncey is part of that negativity.

He needs to either grow up or we'll get a center who can do the job and be a quality human being. Pouncey is a good player. But, he's not a superstar. We can get a very good center who can replace him, imo.

I agree completely. This is an individual that just doesn't get it, and I am afraid never will. The sooner he is replaced (competently) the better.

  19. If you don't like his sense of humor do not read his twitter. Firing him for having a poor sense of humor is a bit much.

What if he's charged with a crime related to a murder case and just giving away the drugs?

Both of those things are very real possibilities.

It's a judgement issue, how stupid do you have to be to make that joke given the circumstances?

Pouncey really is low on character. How about being a mentor instead of a blood sucker. After the trouble he's been in, and tweeting that?

You're talking to someone who believes there should no consequences of any kind, for anything anyone says, ever.

  25. If memory serves me right you were one of the people that wanted to keep Pouncey after it was pointed out to you that he was no better than Incognito.

What's your point? In your fevered delusions did I go back on that and say we should get rid of him in this thread?

Keeping him off Twitter is good from a P.R. perspective.

From a leadership / organizational psychology perspective... Well, I hope somebody in the front office or the coaching staff has a clue about either concept. I think we'll have to sit back and hope.
