I think our worst pick was Arthur Lynch. He's similar to what we already have. I wanted a better receiving TE. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
Agreed. I don't love all the picks, but I don't hate any of them outside of Lynch. A boring player with extremely limited upside. We spent a 5th rounder on a guy who, IMO, is a career #3 blocking TE. I think you can find those pretty easily without spending a pick in the 5th.
http://youtu.be/UwvbFn75WOU Looks like a college player vs a bunch of highschool players. Which is what you would want from a small school prospect.
yes, and? That would be a convenient answer to a generalized conversation about speed, however, we're specifically talking about an offense full of 4.5 and slower receivers who were 30th in YAC and lacked downfield ability overall [both separating AND making plays with the ball in the air], both of which were key elements to Philly's offense and were reported to be incorporated into ours as well. Thanks for being one of the posters to take my post out of context in straw fashion just to argue against it like I said would happen. If any of our 4.5+ guys could do what Riley Cooper does, I wouldn't give a squirt about his speed.
open your eyes. I said he plays at 4.5 or slower. Do you understand the difference between "plays at" and "times at", genius?
Do you have him timed at a speed he is playing at? The difference is, "times at" is measurable, "plays at" is subjective.
ESPN talked about Fede. Trey Wingo apparently turned Todd McShay onto him. Raiders and Bucs were at a game scouting him, for which he had 5 sacks. The ole "All the phsyical tools" line was dropped.
Read his weaknesses too: [h=4]WEAKNESSES[/h] Has trouble adjusting to difficult throws. Stiff in the hips, and not overly flexible. Slow to get off the line of scrimmage, takes time to get out of his stance. Not a mauling blocker like his size would indicate. Hands are often outside of the frame of the defender. Lunges at his blocking assignments. Will have his head down when blocking.
He was rated as one of the top blocking TE's coming into the NFL. Are we already giving up on him? Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
Maybe they have something else planned for Dion. But, like Dupree say, we shall see. I do like him as a redzone target.
