And one of the greatest calls by Eric Reid.

#1 thing I miss from Miami: Sun Sports.

well we get to see if the pacers have any heart. if i go off just the playoffs i would say the heat 4-1 but since hibbert seems to have found his game again and it seems the pacers have come out of their tailspin, i give the pacers a realistic shot of winning this. i would still say the heat are probably going to win this but i only give it a 60/40 probability. so from a betting perspective the value is on the pacers getting +325. i'll predict indiana 4-2 (if it goes gm 7, the heat win). if the heat win however, i could see them flat out sweeping the pacers. i think it all comes down to how much confidence indiana has in themselves going into this series. if they "know they can win" i think they will, if they "believe" they can win, i think they get killed. i'll bet on them getting their revenge for last year

with okc/san antonio. this is such a weird situation for me. thunder are my adopted western conference team and durant is my favorite player in the game right now, so i should bve rooting for them right...wrong. he cant win a ring in okc for brooklyn to have a shot at him. he needs to lose again so that he can be convinced to depart via free agency for the 2015/ 2016 season. but i think they just match up well against san antonio. sadly okc 4-3 though i will be rooting for the spurs

Heat vs Pacers coming soon! Hopefully we get off to a good start and take game one. It would put Indiana in a position where the series is pretty much over if they lose game two.

I watched that game from start to finish. LeBron should give Wade the MVP trophy for that year. Wade was absolutely the best in the NBA that season.

WTF are you even talking about? What is this feelings BS? Pierce KNEW he could guard LeBron and Brooklyn knew they could beat the Heat. I hope you don't base all of your bets on that.

have you ever played sports? do you know why coaches value confidence so much? do you know why momentum swings are more important to coaches then to sportswriters? how they handle them when they go against you? brooklyn choked because they panicked. miami won in large part because they didnt panic. indiana matches up extremely well with miami. what will decide this series imo is the confidence level of the pacers when things go bad. if they dont panic and stay within themselves i think they can win. if however they start turning over the ball on entry passes and that starts to snowball then it means they are choking under the pressure. i'm sure you guys will think its the miami defense but the reality will be it will be about 80% self inflicted. if they can avoid the bad swings, they will give miami everything they can handle

basketball, or to be more precise the offensive side of basketball, to me, is the most sensitive to emotions of all the sports and thats due to how you score in basketball. shooting is a precise motion. if you are too pumped up or too much in panic mode it will effect negatively your ability to shoot. You have to stay emotionally even keeled to shoot effectively. stone cold killer like. The other two positions in other sports that are similar in terms of needing to be in emotional control are QB in football and pitcher in baseball

if emotions are as irrelevant as you imply, why do coaches spend any time trying to motivate their players. you would think coaches would only speak about Xs and Os if emotion wasnt a factor

I don't agree with all of this confidence talk. It doesn't matter how confident you are if you don't have the talent to win.

You're acting as if this isn't a two sided street. You don't think Miami thinks they can beat this garbage Pacer team? They simply don't have the talent to beat us in a series and that is fine because only 1-2 teams do.

i agree. if you dont have the talent, confidence becomes irrelevant. bobcats could have been the most confident team in the history of mankind and they aren't winning that series. i disagree with the talent assessment on indiana though. i think they have the talent to match up with miami and thats why i think emotions and mistakes and how they are handled will become the key deciding factor. i also think san antonio does but okc doesnt.

Fair enough. I think Indiana is a really good team but highly overrated because they play extremely hard every regular season game. I can say none of the other top teams put the same effort into the regular season. Now come playoff time they are struggling badly. I just dont see it. I thought last year was their best chance to unseat us and they missed it.

I actually expect Indiana to spill their entire load prematurely tonight trying to make a point. This game will be their best chance to take one IMO Im guessing the series goes six.

Indiana is pathetic. That is the most they will score in a quarter this series and they can't pull away

Loved that Stephenson one handed palm of the ball, three step, double-dribble layup move. Illegal in about five different ways. (The one he missed not made)

No-one said emotions "dont matter" we said they wont define the series.

This game has been jus what I expected so far more or less. If Indiana plays every game like this it will be over in five, because our defense won't remain this poor.

Good first half so far. Heat not rotating on defense fast enough. Need to clean that up. Pacers knocking shots down. LeBron is not the best post defender in the world. Haslem on Hibbert will not work when Bosh sits but I think Spo should use Oden and birdman more there.Wade and LeBron aggressive offensively. Heat need to knock jumpers. Going to be close.

Love how Battier gets thrown down to the ground and no foul. Next time a Pacer falls I hope someone punts their teeth out of their face. Dirtiest team in the NBA easily.

actually miami did a good job staying in the game. cut it to 13 and have a chance even after being manhandled for three straight quarters. pacers better stay focused and continue to move the ball around on offense and on defense start focusing on lebron because he's going to try to bring the heat back here

If I see my guys getting thrown to the ground and smashed with no calls I'll complain. I don't want the refs in anyones favor.
