No offense to Fin-O but the used car salesman is partially right. You don't see having only 3 DE and 3 DT as a problem? At least a minor one?
Do you see a problem with arguing hypotheticals to the nth degree in a league where players are pretty much flipped around like trading cards?
Some say this isn't Madden but the reality is this is pretty close to those GM modes in Madden because of the types of trades that occur. What is it with GMs complaining they don't get enough credit for whatever they did, it just comes off whiny. You'll get complimented if someone who thinks close enough to you feels you did a good job, otherwise all this nitpicking from armchair GMs is pointless.
Ummm what is the point if you don't hear what others have to say. Sone people play every year. Constructive criticism helps everyone improve. You'll notice noone is being a dick, just sharing thoughts and sone have asked for criticism. The point is to field a full team that can compete not build the best starting roster ane have crap. I don't think Fin-O has crap btw I'm jist saying.
I was referring to beating the hypotheticals into the ground. I get what you're trying to say what the point is, but that's all subjective, even with "helping everyone improve".
You're reading comprehension is a little off today. "I was referring to beating the hypotheticals into the ground."
You just joined this place in February so do us a favor and stop acting like you've been around us here for years. We all bust each others balls here in jest, but since you a few others are new, you immediately assume we're bitter, angry, and really hating on each other. If that's what we're looking for we'd ditch this place and listen to our wives/gf's. Secondly, as to your post itself, it doesn't matter if players are flipped around like trading cards. That doesn't change the fact each GM has schemes and personnel fits to adhere to and should be judged by, so if you wanna get crazy in trades and go after marquee players, you better make sure they fit your scheme and can either play the position they're meant for or that you change your scheme to make it fit. Seabass is 19 and did tons of trades, but he didn't have a problem with this facet. The quickest way to ruin this league is to have a new wave of GMs participating who don't give a crap about the aforementioned stuff or don't understand it and wanna treat the league like it's Madden Franchise mode with injuries and stamina turned off and substitutions set to the bare minimum. There's a reason the Commissioner mentioned to "consider depth" when voting, and it's b/c we'd like the league to maintain an element of realism.
Here's the part you can read to save your ADHD a meltdown. The league actually used to do a Madden sim so this would actually be quite entertaining to see how the voted "top front 7" actually fairs in a simulation.
if you didn't care then why are you responding about it all? C'mon it'll be fun. It's your chance to make me sport a ridiculous sig for a month if you win.
Yup back in 2011, right before your rookie year. My Vikings: Minnesota Chad Henne - 74.0 QBR, 2,897 yards, 21 TD, 14 INT Knowshon Moreno - 331 carries, 1,158 yards, 3.4 YPC, 10 TD Percy Harvin - 45 receptions, 622 yards, 6 TD LaMarr Woodley - 181 tackles (Led the leagues in tackles) Corey Wootton - 10.0 sacks Asher Allen - 2 interceptions
wish madden would revert back to the old, easy franchise draft mode where we could do that again. I'd like to know what computer nerd or woman thinks this new mess is actually functional and easy to use. LOL at Woodley with 181 tackles by the way.
GISH bid $30 Million on Peyton during tagged bidding, this was before we had the exclusive franchise tag and would only get a 1st and 3rd for Manning. Consider it the poison pill as well because a one year league and contracts beyond 500K are guaranteed. However GISH cut Manning (to save cap) since there wasn't a rule against that either, and then I, along with others bid Manning up, I went about dismantling the Vikings to find cap space (like trading Peterson for Moreno).
30 million in the old salary cap days of far less than 100,000,000 too. I thought there was a rule against cutting those guys though because I remember the big fight. And then the next year the slew of changes like the ExFr tag.
Everything is back in my Top QB FA post... GISH cutting Manning (2011) as a franchised tagged player cause Griddles to put in the wordings that says you can't cut a tagged player in 2012. Schisno bidding on Arian Foster (Big E) and openly lowering his 1st and 3rd (2012) to the lowest possible (#32 and #95) made Griddles institute the exclusive franchise tag. These days there's less loopholes to work with thanks to some of us early GMs.
Are you serious?? What do you have? One full year under your belt prior to this? Now YOU are an expert and know how the league should be ran??? EAD Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
and you've got how many years and still don't know how to create a full D-line or acquire players who actually fit schemes and positions?
but it would need to be normalized or something so that GMs starting in really poor cap space aren't left stuck that way, whereas teams with a lot of initial cap space would see more dead money from their cuts. Plus, it can't all be dead money b/c there are plenty of instances where players can be cut without taking a hit.
Add restructures, add in a couple June 1st cuts, trade guys for relief and you're set. Even Dallas was manageable this year.
You're a dumbass, ASSuming Michael Johnson is going to become an average DE because he's being moved to the left side...you sir need to find a woman you can keep and stop being so pathetic. #morefreeadvice #EAD
this might have been discussed before, But have we ever carried the league over to Madden or some other type of sim to see which teams would be winners and losers. It might be a fun way to carry out the league a little bit more.
it was on Madden, but I forget why not after that. I plan to use a football sim game when it comes out that I participate in for a baseball online sim community myself.
