Agreed. Though if being informed was a requirement then the forum would have like 6 people on it.

I remember my early 20s. Harassment accusations, subpoenas to appear in front of grand juries for gun running. Those were some fun times.

That about sums it up. Anyone still defending the guy, has alot of explaining to do IMO.

I get the fact he's a good player, and we need all of those we can get. It's just likely only a matter of time however until some of the above, ends up getting Pouncey in enough trouble that his own actions get him taken off the field for us. It's not about us getting rid of him at this point since we picked up the option on his deal, its about Pouncey being smart enough, and mature enough to keep himself out of trouble with the league, and the law to keep himself on the field.

That's what you really decided to pick on in all of this though? The fact that he was potentially incorrectly called a "habitual marijuana user" and none of us actually know how frequently he does use a controlled substance, by both the league, and the law? That's the least of Pouncey's worries IMO, but its still enough of a worry for the team, because its a suspendable offence by the NFL if he's caught, I'd say it's also a pretty safe assumption that it's only a matter of time before he does get caught, since there were texts between Cogs/Martin referring to drug parties at Pouncey's place...

If he wants to do this stuff on his own time, that's good for him. Have fun. Enjoy your life Pouncey. However, he's a member of the Miami Dolphins, on their payroll, earning big fat paychecks to play a game, and serve the team. His off the field actions, are putting that in jeopardy. Thus potentially causing us to loose said player. So... hell, he can be the greatest center of all time, but if he's going to keep up with his current off field activities and not change that, he's not going to be a member of the Miami Dolphins much longer, and he won't be the victim here... it'll be of his own damn fault for knowingly getting himself involved in situations to get him in trouble with the law, and the NFL itself.

It's really hard to look at the list of things Pouncey has been involved in recently, and say... Yeah... no problem Mike. Keep it up. You're doing a great job. He's jeopardizing his position on this team, by being involved in behavior that can get him in trouble with the NFL, or the law. It's his own fault for being stupid, not anyone elses fault for trying to "change" him.

I meant the whole saying stupid stuff, being immature etc....you know, the things I quoted. But I wouldn't expect you to keep my post in context.

Right, so if you eliminate the red-flags, the guy has no red-flags. I'm not sure why any context here wouldn't center around those things.

I don't have a problem with opinions. Hell, I have my own. I love hearing or reading opposing viewpoints to my own. Let the opinions fly. However, I also make it a point to not assert my opinions as if I know everything, and everyone who doesn't agree is, factually, wrong. I also try hard not to judge other human beings based on a handful of tweets and a couple of news articles. Why? Because I used to do exactly that, and I realized it wasn't fair of me. I was wrong.

The unfortunate thing in all this is that people that tend to judge and condescend to others are often smart and sensitive people who should realize that you don't deal with bullying... by bullying the bully. They need a lesson in humility, respect and kindness themselves.

I can't smile anymore at football games. blah blah blah. And that's without even going into some of the political posts I see on here.

Don't take it so personally. I didn't attack you. But you're getting mad and acting childish over this discussion about a football player on the team.

    All true.

Its one thing to attack a guy for his on field play but when people go in on a guy for off the field stuff then IMO the bar needs to be set much higher. None of us know the guy, but people watch ESPN or read a few articles and now they're experts on all things Pouncey.

All I know is he's a great player being ridiculed for off field stuff by the same people who ridicule guys like Daniel Thomas who are virtual Boy Scouts off the field though not as talented on it. If *****ing were a sport Dolphi fans would be in the title hunt every year.

Welcome to life. Use limited information and critical thinking to make decisions. I don't personally know anyone I hire. Does that mean I can't judge their background during the hiring process?

Because I'm sick of reading post after post after post on this forum where people are asserting opinions about a guy they know close to absolutely nothing about. And, since when are we not allowed to talk about each other here? Geezis, you guys lay into LBsFinest here so often, he's become the resident punching bag. And now, you have the nerve to point out that I'm 'talking about other people here'?

Holy smokes, you guys need some introspection.

This is a Miami Dolphins forum. Not a ckparrothead forum, nor a lbsfinest forum. Discussing other posters is off-topic.
