"Full participation in our offseason camps show that our team is focused, it shows that our guys are all in, we don't have anyone being selfish or thinking about themselves, all of our guys are here, everybody's working hard, everyone's dedicated to making a great run this season, that shows it starts in the offseason, building a team, building camaraderie, and we have done that this offseason, so I feel like we've had a really productive offseason" End quote..Demeco Ryan's. Yeah, well so have we, but it just doesn't get reported, until now.. I wonder, like us, did they have 100 percent participation when it wasn't mandatory, cause we freakin did. Maybe one of our beat writers should write a story praising Philbin, I certainly haven't bought fully in yet, but maybe his players have, this is certainly not something to brush off in today's game..I mean you have a great coach in San Fran dealing with a bunch of holdouts, (and in one case a complete dumass in Vernon Davis )complaining that it isn't the 49ers way"" I have mad respect for Harbaugh but Boo freakin hoo, at least our team is unified. Our offseason has been very successful thus far..
New offensive staff. It would make a lot of sense for offensive players to want a leg up on their competition; missing out on OTAs means lost time with the staff, reps, looks, if not brown-nosing.
Agree. Preseason hype seldom turns into regular season success. But somehow I get the same impression as dj. It's not just the full participation but everybody seems to be very focused. Can't help but have a good feeling.
Every year I feel like we have full participation. We did every year under Sparano. Everyone was together during the lockout practicing too. It's the same every year.
When was the last time the team wasn't unified in the off season? If you go back and look at comments coming from players over the past decade, they were always positive about the upcoming season and the coaching staff, while they were running around in shorts and nobody was getting hit. Perhaps this coming season will be different and the players and coaches will get their act together and actually have a winning season. Until they do though, this off season really isn't any different than what we have heard seen and heard from this organization for many years now.
They're vets made the rookies pick up a huge dinner tab? Oh wait, I forgot that things like that don't really get to be big news unless they happen in South Florida.
