No big surprise. First Take is one of ESPN's most popular shows. I would rather pour hot wax on my head than watch that show.

In full disclosure I still have a Blackberry.

Micky Arison..IS CHINA. Check the AAA, and their sponsors. Check Wade's off court dealings. Lebron is already Global.

As for Bosh, he does not want to play at home (anywhere in Texas) ..but you saying "vomit" shows you have no idea what a good basketball team/player looks like. He would make you INSTANT Championship contenders with a good defensive coach.

Will post what I told Fin-O.

Knicks have a decent plan, IMO, and it could involve some PAIN next season.

got it. So love Gasol and then Durant in 2016. Get as many picks short term as possible and that would be facilitated by a melo deal. That's what I would do anyway

Anything specific by chance or we find out next week?

I mean Bosh fits great as a stretch-4 with Dwight staying on the block, running pick-and-rolls, and handling the heavy rebounding and big man defense. This is kind of the more outside role Bosh wants, I would think. And I imagine you're eventually trying to turn Terrence Jones (who's very young/raw) into a Bosh type down the road.

Parsons is a valuable talent, he's that long winger who can slash and stretch the floor. Those players are hard to find. But man, your perimeter defense is absolutely brutal because he, Harden, and Beverly/Lin give you nothing on that end.

People are forgetting how good Rondo is on both ends. He takes over games without scoring because he has tremendous vision/anticipation from any angle on the court to go along with great athleticism and strength. That said, Rondo does not stretch the floor and he likes to dominate the ball at the top of the key and at the elbow, both areas where Harden likes to dominate the ball too. Rondo rubs against two things Houston really wants to do: he's not a threat to shoot 3s as Houston surrounds Dwight with shooters, and he's kind of worthless on Harden pick-and-rolls because he's not going to spot-up and he's not a great threat without the ball in his hands.

It's tough. When healthy I think Rondo is the best PG in the League, and lord knows you could really use his defense and distribution...but offensively you might be better off pairing your elite combo guard Harden with another combo guard like he's had with Westbrook and Lin.

You are in the ball park..but I must say, it is the exact same plan I would have. Yes, Durant is a target as you can suspect, but you might have competition.

So melo is gone I presume (my guess is Houston as melo said in an interview during D12's rookie season that he'd rather play play with Howard over anyone). I'm curious how the rest goes and what your plan would be section.

Houston is still getting Yao Ming money. Plus, it's one the main reasons we brought in Lin. Like i said, China is in the pocket. If you want to go global, you come to Houston (or become Kobe...they love Kobe for some reason).

This quote is from the NY Times. Houston is HUGE in China. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/15/b...looks-to-asia-for-next-growth-spurt.html?_r=0

As for Bosh, it's just my personal preference. He's too soft for me and definitely not worth a max contract. We either go with Melo, KD, Rondo, or Love.

Bosh is soft and disappears entirely too much. We don't need soft...especially on a max contract. The heat can keep him.

Parsons will be a future star in this league. I have no doubt about that. He's not ready now and this team is built to win now, which is why we haven't given him a new contract. He's a restricted free agent right now. We'll match other teams offers right now, but we're not looking long term. We want to trade him. I said after the playoffs that this would be his last season in Houston. I swear this guy had to miss atleast 10 layups in the playoffs. You're 6'9....dunk the ball!!!

We could of had Rondo last offseason, but Morey wanted to hang on to Parsons to see if his game had taken the steps needed. Well, he now has his answer. Parsons isn't there yet.

The playoffs revealed that our 2 biggest weaknesses were PG and PF. I'd rather we get a PF, but I damn sure would take Rondo. Too many times, we had to rely on Harden to bring the ball up in crucial situations because if our PGs were pressured, they'd turn it over at mid court. It was hard to watch, especially with Lin. I think Rondo would be perfect for our squad. James Harden doesn't need to be the primary ball handler to be successful. He's had to be that guy for the Rockets because we haven't had a PG since Lowry and Dragic left. You put Rondo on this team and Howard would average 25ppg, easy. Rondo would make sure of it. We need someone to conduct our offense and run set plays when needed. We need a PG who the opposing teams respect. He might not be able to shoot from outside, but we lead the league in 3-point field goals. Long range shooters is not a problem in Houston. This would also take so much pressure off of Harden who has to do damn near everything on offense. Imagining Rondo driving in the lane every play, and either lob it to Howard or kick it out to Harden and our sharp shooters would be a thing of beauty.

Add Rondo and if we're able to bring in Lionel Hollins as a defensive assistant, we'd be in business.

I hope noone wants Bosh because there are only a couple PF in this league I'd rather have.

But people want Rondo, the guy accused by his own teammates of stopping ball movement to hold it and pad his assist stats.

Aside from Lebron, I want Bosh to stay. Other than Love there aren't many other PFs in the league I'd prefer. I would want nothing to do with Rhondo. Bad teammate to the extent that he can bring a team down.

I'm not sure it's reasonable to ever ask Howard to be a 25ppg player because his offensive arsenal is limited to close shots and he's a poor free throw shooter. I've always said that ideally Howard should be a 2nd or 3rd option on an elite team. I think that's what makes melo appealing to Houston is you have the go to guy you would need. Harden and Howard are secondary guys. Melo is good enough to carry an offense with minimal support as long as the team around him plays d and hits the occasional shot.

He could get 25ppg, if we focus more on him in the post. He showed everyone in this postseason what he's capable of if he is the focal point. He was downright dominant.

Is Bill Simmons the one on the ESPN pre game and halftime show? If so then he isn't funny or has any knowledgeable things to say about the game itself.

Disaster is probably too far. They would score in bunches against weak defensive teams. Just might have issues when you ran up against strong team defenses.@

Riley said he will not ask any player to take a paycut, nor would he ever do that.

Says the Big 3 decided they wanted Miller and Haslem and adjusted their salaries accordingly. Had they all wanted the full max they would've gotten it and the Heat would've done something else to fill the roster
